Union officials need to grasp the new and important content of the Trade Union Law

More than 100 trade union officials in the southern region, Caosu Vietnam Trade Union participated in the Conference on training and disseminating the Law on Trade Union 2024, collected comments on the content of amending and supplementing the 2024 Trade Union Law and drafting the Decree detailing a number of articles of the 2024 Trade Union Law, collecting comments on employment laws organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the afternoon of April 23, in Ho Chi Minh City. In his opening speech, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized: This is a conference combined in the spirit of thrift and efficiency, both training and disseminating laws and giving comments on drafting important legal documents related to trade unions and workers. For the Trade Union Law, trade union officials need to grasp new, major, and important contents, thereby continuing to propagate, disseminate and organize effective implementation, better caring for and protecting the rights of workers".

Regarding the draft Law on Trade Unions, the Law on Employment (amended) and decrees guiding the implementation of the Law on Trade Unions, Vice Chairman Ngo Duy Hieu suggested that trade union officials with knowledge and practical experience, promote democracy, give candid and detailed comments, and ensure that the documents after promulgation are soon put into practice.

Vice Chairman Ngo Duy Hieu also hopes that, in the context of the entire political system urgently and drastically implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, he will ask union officials to promote tradition, demonstrate their mettle, overcome all difficulties, and build the Vietnam Trade Union to be increasingly strong, caring for and better protecting the rights of workers.

The conference was heard by Mr. Le Dinh Quang - Deputy Head of Legal Policy Department - Labor Relations of Vietnam Labor Federation - introducing some main points in the 2024 Trade Union Law.
