700 workers participate in grassroots trade union sports festivals in Ho Chi Minh City

On May 10, the Grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS) of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. held the opening ceremony of the 2026 mini sports festival. The program took place at the stadium right in the company's premises at An Thanh Production Cluster, Thuan An Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

Attending the program were representatives of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Thuan An Ward Trade Union, representatives of businesses, the Executive Committee of grassroots trade unions, along with 700 athletes and hundreds of workers coming to cheer.

The Trade Union of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. said that this is one of the activities in response to Workers' Month 2026. The sports festival is organized with 700 athletes who are union members and workers working in the company participating. Athletes participate in 4 sports including: football, volleyball, tug of war, and male and female sack race.

Mr. Mai Thanh Tuyen - Chairman of the Grassroots Trade Union of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. shared that this activity aims to practically care for the cultural and spiritual life of employees at the enterprise. Through activities, creating space for employees to practice health, play, and strengthen solidarity in the enterprise.

According to Mr. Mai Thanh Tuyen, the enterprise currently has 7,500 employees. To care for union members, the unit has reviewed and grasped the lives of workers. In Workers' Month 2026, the unit will deploy visits, encouragement, and gifts to workers with critical illnesses and difficult circumstances. The grassroots trade union and the company will also donate more milk to supplement nutrition for workers.

Also on May 10, the company's grassroots trade union organized health screening for about 350 workers, thereby directly contributing to taking care of the health of union members.
