Phu Tho workers compete for the "New Era Shooters" football cup
Phu Tho - The male workers' football tournament not only brings exciting matches but also spreads the spirit of solidarity and unity.
On the morning of May 9th, at Sanji football field (Vinh Phuc ward, Phu Tho province), the Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation organized the opening ceremony of the final round of the Phu Tho Provincial Industrial Zone Workers' Men's Football Tournament 2026 with the theme "New Era Shooters".
The tournament gathers more than 300 workers from 16 strong football teams from industrial parks in three provinces Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh.
This is considered the first large-scale tournament of the industrial park workers after the merger, creating a playground for exchange, physical training and strengthening the connection between local workers.
Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Tho province; representatives of the Management Board of Industrial Parks of the province; leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation; Trade Union Affairs Committee; Trade Union Board of Industrial Parks of the province and a large number of businesses, fans and workers.
From production lines, construction sites, factories, amateur players have brought a vibrant atmosphere on the football field with youthful spirit, enthusiasm and high determination. Many teams have the participation of direct production workers, technology engineers working in large industrial parks of the region.
According to Mr. Khong Son Thanh - Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial Labor Federation, Head of the Organizing Committee, the tournament not only promotes the sports movement among workers but also contributes to building a united and dynamic working environment, improving the spiritual life of union members and workers.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, the matches took place excitingly with many attractive plays, fierce tackles and enthusiastic cheers from the audience in the stands.
It is expected that the final match and closing ceremony will take place in the coming days to find the best team of the Industrial Zone bloc in 2026.
