Female workers enjoy 3 more benefits after the dialogue
Female workers at AMANN Vietnam Co., Ltd. will receive increased support for raising young children; 1 hour off during work hours to express milk; International Women's Day is a day off and receive full salary or support of 200,000 VND.
Agree on 3 contents in the dialogue
The three above benefits have just been agreed upon in a dialogue between the grassroots trade union (CDCS) and the representative of the employer at AMANN Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tam Thang Industrial Park, Tam Ky City, Quang Nam), on September 20.
The dialogue was organized by the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor. Comrade Tran Thu Phuong - Deputy Head of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and representatives of the Company's workers attended the conference.

This is a key activity of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on "Representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of female workers through dialogue at the workplace". Quang Nam is one of 6 provinces nationwide selected to implement this activity.

The Company's Trade Union Executive Committee proposed 3 benefits for female employees, including: increasing the support level for employees raising children under 6 years old (from 50,000 VND to 100,000 VND/month/child); female employees raising children under 12 months old, in addition to the regulated 60-minute break regime, are also given an additional 60-minute break during the working hours to express milk, if they do not have the need to work but still work, the company will calculate an additional 100% of their salary; on International Women's Day 8/3 and Vietnamese Women's Day 20/10, female employees are entitled to a full salary leave; or the enterprise will provide cash support of 300,000 VND/person.
The union said that the company currently has 114 female workers. The company's order situation has decreased but remains stable. The proposal to increase the above 3 benefits for female workers, if met, will be a great encouragement, helping them feel secure in production and stick with businesses.

After consideration, the employer's representative agreed with all 3 proposed contents of the Trade Union. However, in the content of on International Womens Day 8/3 and Vietnamese Womens Day 20/10, female workers are entitled to take a day off and receive full pay; or the enterprise provides cash support of VND 300,000/person, the employer agrees to provide cash support of VND 200,000/person. The two sides agreed on the implementation time from January 1, 2025.
Ms. Mai Thi Li - Finance Director of AMANN Vietnam Co., Ltd. said that negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements at enterprises have been going on for many years. There are many provisions that are beneficial to employees such as visiting and giving gifts to union members and employees facing difficulties during major holidays; 13th month salary bonus for employees; equipping medical rooms, breast milk collection and storage rooms; regular health check-ups...
It is expected that in the coming time, the Executive Board of the Trade Union will propose to the company's leaders some additional contents to support employees.
Overcoming "barriers" to build harmonious relations
Comrade Tran Thu Phuong - Deputy Head of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor assessed that the dialogue met all the requirements stipulated in the Labor Code and was very successful.

According to comrade Tran Thu Phuong, the main activity of women's trade unions is to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of female workers. To implement these activities, the provisions in the Labor Code, the Law on Social Insurance, and the Law on Grassroots Democracy have also clearly stated this content; documents under the law have also clearly stated this content.
"However, during the implementation process, if we only focus on propagating the law, the brothers and sisters at the Trade Union will not be able to fully grasp it. Therefore, we study the method of propaganda in the style of "hand-holding instructions", taking samples for every stage and consulting on all contents to be most standard according to the provisions of the law so that everyone can fully grasp the provisions of the Law. And from such models, the brothers and sisters in the Trade Union will deploy them at enterprises. And we also hope that the negotiation contents will be beneficial for female workers, and that the members of the Trade Union will see that this is truly a very meaningful activity, always effective for female workers and supported by female workers will be easily replicated, said comrade Tran Thu Phuong.

We do not always need the flexibility, flexibility and cleverness of the Trade Union cadres to fight. If they know the characteristics of the business situation and their union members, then from the legitimate needs of union members and the function of protecting the rights of workers, including female workers, union officials will also find a way to harmonize relationships, helping workers have good policies, from that proposal that businesses fulfill their social responsibilities well, thereby enhancing the position of the business, the orders of the business accordingly will increase, and be appreciated by customers. I think this activity is practical for both sides and both sides are beneficial, added comrade Phuong.
AMANN Vietnam Co., Ltd. is a member of AMANN Group, specializing in the production and supply of high-quality sewing and embroidery seams. The company was established in 2012 and currently has 233 workers, including 114 female workers. The number of employees raising children under 6 years old at the company is 88.
