Spreading the movement of women helping each other overcome difficulties in Lam Dong
Lam Dong - The mutual assistance models of female members are like solid pillars, adding confidence for members in difficulty to continuously develop.
On January 15, Ms. Nguyen Thi Can, in Hong Son commune, Lam Dong province, shared that her family had fallen into difficult circumstances when raising a disabled child. However, she often receives timely attention and support from the local women's association.
When I am most difficult, I am always helped by women, not only materially but also mentally. Thereby, it helps me have more faith to rise up in life, Ms. Can said emotionally.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Hoang - Head of the Women's Association of Thien Trung Quarter, Mui Ne Ward, Lam Dong Province, the "3 no, 3 clean" Club of the quarter currently has 63 members.
For the past 6 years, on the evening of the 16th lunar month every month, members have regularly attended activities and contributed VND 5,000/person to piggy bank savings.
From this fund, the association has supported poor members, single women and families facing sudden difficulties; every quarter, 45 members borrowed 4 million VND/person, without interest, to do small business, treat illnesses, and raise children to study.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hai - President of the Women's Union of Mui Ne Ward - said that the whole ward currently has more than 13,000 women. In which, there are many difficult cases. Maintaining the model of saving land pig farming at branches has contributed to helping poor members develop their economy and stabilize their lives.
According to the Women's Union of Lam Dong province, the movement of women helping each other overcome difficulties is spreading strongly in the province, with many flexible forms associated with the campaign to build a "3 no, 3 clean" family and the new rural construction program.
Models such as women's groups saving, capital contribution groups for economic development, "hanxian rings", pig farming, scrap collection... have become regular activities, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, mutual assistance, and sharing with less fortunate women.
Those simple things are becoming a solid foundation, adding confidence and motivation for disadvantaged women to rise up, building a prosperous and happy life.
In 2025, Women's Union Associations at all levels in Lam Dong province presented 1,421 livelihood models to members and women who are poor and near-poor; mobilized VND 4,226 million, 27 taels of gold, nearly 10,000 trees, seeds and nearly 3,000 working days to help members' families in difficulty.
Along with that, Women's Union Associations at all levels in Lam Dong province have promoted their role in connecting and maintaining 24 groups contributing revolving capital with 101.7 million VND, 7 savings groups with 60.5 million VND...
From resources, associations at all levels have helped 1,425 poor and near-poor women escape poverty.
