Developing more than 10,000 union members

In 2024, Can Tho Trade Union will develop 10,291 new union members, an increase of 9,016/8,500 union members, reaching 106.7% of the target; establish 31 grassroots trade unions and 10 grassroots trade unions.

As of now, the city has 92,603 union members with 1,168 grassroots unions and 57 unions. During the year, the City's Trade Unions at all levels also introduced 1,238/1,193 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission.

To achieve these results, the Can Tho City Labor Federation has identified the theme, developed a plan, targets and specific implementation measures, prioritized the task of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions and grassroots unions in accordance with the actual conditions of each unit.

Not stopping at propaganda and mobilization work, activities to care for the grassroots, taking union members and workers (Union members, Laborers) as the center are always promoted to create a positive change in awareness and action, helping union members and Laborers to increasingly stick with the Trade Union organization.

Year of breaking the targets

According to the Labor Federation of Can Tho City, in 2025, it was particularly important, the last year to break through fulfilling the tasks of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress of the Party and the socio -economic development plan for the period 2021-2025.

This is also the year of holding Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, Emulation Congresses, and Advanced Typical conferences at all levels towards the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, along with many important events of the Party and the country.

With the theme "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", Can Tho City Trade Unions at all levels continue to innovate and be creative in organizing caring activities at the grassroots level associated with improving material and spiritual life, attracting members and employees to participate and stick with the Trade Union organization. Along with that, launching emulation movements, helping union members and employees have the opportunity to promote their talents and initiatives, bringing the quality of union members upward with the quantity.

In addition to paying attention to building a contingent of the grassroots college cadres who are capable to promote the role, functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization, we also aim to improve the quality of EPROs in the new situation through the emulation movements" - the representative of Can Tho Labor Union.

Accordingly, the emulation content for all levels of Trade Unions will focus on mobilizing members and employees to promote initiatives, creativity, compete to build, speed up progress and complete projects, models, and products to welcome Party Congresses at all levels and the 14th National Congress of the Party.

For employees and employees in enterprises, they will compete to study, improve their professional qualifications and skills; promote initiatives, creativity, technical improvements, promote research, application of science and technology, increase labor productivity and work efficiency.
