Improving working conditions for employees

The Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just guided trade unions at all levels to organize activities in response to the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month in 2025.

Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh said that organizing activities in response to the Labor Safety and Hygiene Month aims to create a communication highlight, raise awareness and compliance with labor safety laws for employees, employers, and at the same time promote specific solutions and action programs on preventing occupational accidents and diseases (OCS), improving working conditions, launching emulation, building a culture of labor safety, promoting mass movements to work in occupational safety and hygiene at all levels, sectors, localities, businesses and workers.

Through activities during the Month of Action on occupational safety and health, the Trade Union organization has performed well the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers, creating more attention from Party committees at all levels, authorities, the political system, business owners and the whole society to the issue of occupational safety and health of workers.

Deployed at all levels of trade unions nationwide

At the central level, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will coordinate to organize the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and the 2025 Action Month on occupational safety and health at the central level on the morning of April 25 in Hanoi.

The ceremony was attended by about 500 people, including representatives of Party committees, political and social organizations, ministries, branches, member agencies of the Steering Committee for the Month of Action on occupational safety and health, provincial and municipal labor federations, trade unions of the Central Trade Union, trade unions of corporations under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, units and individuals who were commended, representatives of employers, employees, enterprises, associations, establishments, workers, farmers, students and press agencies...

Organize delegations to visit and encourage victims and families of victims with occupational accidents and disadvantaged people; Organizing a number of delegations to visit, inspect and supervise the implementation, responding to the Month of Action on OSH, OSH work in some localities and branches with many workers or high risks and risks on occupational accidents and credit institutions.

Organize thematic workshops on: "Promoting dialogue and collective bargaining on working hours and occupational safety and hygiene"; "Union with assessing and identifying risks, strengthening measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace"; "Union participating in building and promoting a culture of occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace"...

Sticking to the theme of the Month of Action on OSH, the Labor Confederation of the provinces and cities, the Central Trade Union, the Trade Union of the Corporation under the VGCL, issued the Plan, instructed the organization of the launching ceremony and activities in response and practical in accordance with the actual conditions of the local and branch.

Target 100% of provincial and municipal labor federations, central industry unions with plans to implement the occupational safety and health Month and 50% or more of grassroots unions with at least 1 activity in response to the occupational safety and health month.

The Labor Federations of provinces and cities have advised the Provincial Party Committee, City Party Committee, and People's Committee to direct coordination with departments and branches to organize the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2025 to focus resources on caring for the health, material and spiritual life of workers.
