Dong Thap and Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federations share experiences in developing union members and innovating trade union activities before the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

In the enthusiastic emulation atmosphere of officials, union members, and workers nationwide towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031, on June 1, 2026, a working delegation of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) led by Comrade Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui - Chairwoman of the Provincial LĐLĐ visited, worked and exchanged experiences with the Bac Ninh Provincial LĐLĐ.

The activity is an opportunity for the two units to strengthen exchanges, learn, and share good models and creative ways of working in trade union work, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the new period; and at the same time is a practical activity to celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.

Receiving and working with the delegation were Comrade Thach Van Chung, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation and Standing Committee members, leaders of professional departments of the Provincial Labor Federation.

At the working session, leaders of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation briefly informed about the results of trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers of the province in the past time. Prominent are the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; innovating operating methods; caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promoting digital transformation and improving the efficiency of trade union financial management.

The working delegation of the Dong Thap Provincial Labor Federation paid special attention to Bac Ninh's experience in implementing the policy of admitting trade union members who are foreign workers. This is a new task implemented according to the provisions of the 2024 Trade Union Law and is being identified by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as one of the important contents to expand the scope of gathering and representing the Trade Union organization in the context of increasingly deep international integration.

Leaders of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation shared many practical experiences in propaganda, mobilization, and approaching foreign workers; building a team of trade union officials capable of communicating and supporting workers; closely coordinating with FDI enterprises to create favorable conditions for foreign workers to participate in trade union organizations. The achieved results have contributed to affirming the role and position of the Vietnamese Trade Union organization in the international labor community working in Vietnam.

In addition, the two units also exchanged in-depth views on trade union finance work, especially solutions to improve the efficiency of management and use of financial resources in the context of streamlining the organizational structure in a streamlined, efficient, effective and efficient manner. Delegates shared experiences in applying information technology in financial management, implementing publicity and transparency of revenue and expenditure sources, and prioritizing resources for activities to care for union members and workers.

Speaking at the working session, Comrade Thach Van Chung emphasized that the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress is an important political event of the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union organization. Therefore, strengthening exchange and learning of experience between localities not only helps improve the quality of trade union activities but also contributes to preparing practical arguments and effective models to contribute to the process of implementing the Congress Resolution in the new term.
