Gia Lai Trade Union trains staff to meet new requirements

At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy - Vice President of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor - reported on the results of Trade Union activities in 2025, and outlined the tasks and work programs of the Trade Union in 2026.

In 2025, the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the province will continue to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the proposed work programs.

Trade unions at all levels focus on streamlining the apparatus, innovating the methods of operation in accordance with the new context; organizing many practical activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year, Workers' Month; promptly encouraging and supporting union members and workers affected by natural disasters... Thereby, continuing to affirm the role and position of the Trade Union organization.

The provincial trade union has consulted on 266 cases, instructed 152 employees to file complaints; supported employees to recover wages, severance pay, and complete procedures to receive unemployment benefits with a total amount of nearly 1.1 billion VND.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor and all levels of the Trade Union organized programs "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng", "Zero-VND Booth", "Union Tet Market"; supported more than 66 billion VND in cash and gifts for 133,668 union members and employees in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, serious illnesses, and occupational diseases.

During Workers' Month, Trade Unions at all levels visited and supported 427 units and employees with serious illnesses and work-related accidents with an amount of 394 million VND; presented 100 gifts, worth a total of 70 million VND to units and employees in difficult circumstances.

The Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor has supported the construction and repair of 45 "Union Shelters" and " charity houses" for employees with a total cost of more than 2.2 billion VND; mobilized 48 enterprises to increase the value of shift meals for employees.

Right after the historic storm and flood that occurred in November 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized 3 visits to support 185 cases of severe damage, with a total amount of 370 million VND.

In 2025, the whole province will develop 46 new grassroots trade unions, admit 6,603 units, bringing the total number of grassroots trade unions to 1,003 with 80,136 units, 90.729 employees.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy launched the Trade Union activities program in 2026, with the theme "Promoting innovation; concretizing and bringing into life the Resolution of the Party Congress, the Fatherland Front, and the Trade Union", with 11 main targets and 16 key provincial-level activities.

At the conference, delegates raised many opinions and recommendations, focusing on the contents of finance, organization; Tet care activities; training work, improving skills to protect legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees, employees...

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor - said that he would fully absorb the opinions and recommendations of the delegates. He requested that trade unions at all levels grasp the ideological situation of union members and employees in the time before the Lunar New Year 2026, as well as closely monitor the Tet bonus situation of enterprises for employees.

"2026 is the year to strengthen training, to ensure that the team of Trade Union cadres, whether new or experienced, are fully equipped with knowledge and systematically complete all work contents to effectively carry out assigned tasks," said Mr. Trung.

The conference also approved the Working Regulations of the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee; announced the assignment of tasks to members of the Executive Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, 2025-2030.

On this occasion, Mr. Ha Duy Trung presented the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Director of the Cooking - Encapsulation Workshop, Branch of Saigon - Mien Trung Beer Joint Stock Company in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh (now Gia Lai province), for having an initiative that brought high benefits.

At the same time, the Creative Labor Certificate of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor was awarded to 11 individuals who achieved the title of creative labor in the patriotic emulation movement in 2024.
