The first Gia Lai Provincial Trade Union Congress has 200 delegates attending

On the afternoon of December 29, at the Gia Lai Provincial Conference Center, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) held the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030 (first session).

The congress was attended by Mr. Doan Duc Han - Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Bui Manh Hoa - Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and 200 official delegates, representing more than 80,000 union members.

The Congress aims to summarize and evaluate the results of the workers, civil servants and laborers movement (CNVCLD) and trade union activities for the 2023-2028 term; determine the goals, directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term; participate in giving opinions on the draft documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031; give opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; announce the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions in the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor, term I, 2025-2030; announce the Decision to appoint delegates to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031.

In the first working session, the delegates unanimously elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Delegation status Inspection Board; approved the working program and regulations; and reported the results of the examination.

The representative of the Presidium reported and synthesized opinions on the participation in the documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; the review report of the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term, and submitted to the 1st Provincial General Confederation of Labor for the 2025-2030 term.

At the first working session, delegates also listened to presentations on the topics: Organization and mobilization of union members and employees to carry out emulation movements, contributing to socio-economic development; Promoting the role of grassroots unions in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees of enterprises; Solutions to improve the quality of activities of grassroots trade unions of non-state enterprises.

Right before the first session of the congress, delegates attended the press conference, offered flowers at the Nguyen Sinh Sac - Nguyen Tat Thanh Monument (Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Quy Nhon Ward); opened the exhibition of booths displaying and introducing products; summarized and awarded prizes for the "Workers in harmony with the great thousand dance" Contest.
