Gia Lai Trade Union helps more than 2,000 workers stabilize their lives after storms and floods
Gia Lai - On December 30, after 2 urgent, democratic and responsible working sessions, the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, was a great success.

Speaking at the congress, Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc emphasized that the congress is an important political event for union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers (DVCNVCLD) and the Provincial Trade Union organization.
Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc agreed with the direction, goals, targets, tasks and main solutions of the 2025-2030 term presented in the Political Report, especially the goals, targets, 3 breakthroughs and 9 key tasks and solutions.
"These are issues that are both urgent and long-term strategic, in line with the development trend of the country and the province in the coming time," said Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc.
According to the Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, in recent years, along with the development of the province, the Provincial Trade Union has continuously grown. The implementation of the policy of streamlining the apparatus has achieved results in quantity, scale and quality.
The content and methods of operation of the Trade Union have many innovations, strongly oriented towards the grassroots; promptly grasp the ideological situation, life, employment of employees and the situation of business activities; perform well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees.
In particular, during the recent historic storm and flood, Trade Unions at all levels coordinated with Party committees and authorities to visit, encourage and support over 2,000 union members and workers to overcome the consequences, overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives. These are activities of practical significance.
"The above results are a testament to the solidarity, unity, and efforts of all employees; affirming the role, position, and responsibility of the Trade Union organization in the cause of building and developing the province", Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc emphasized.
The Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary also highly appreciated the serious and receptive spirit of the Provincial Trade Union Executive Committee in frankly acknowledging the shortcomings and difficulties in directing and implementing tasks.
"I believe that the new provincial Trade Union will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, dynamism, and creativity; lead and direct all levels of Trade Unions to excellently complete the goals and tasks set by the Congress Resolution," said Mr. Thai Dai Ngoc.
Going deeper into existing problems to overcome in the new term
Speaking at the congress, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Huynh Thanh Xuan agreed with the goals, targets, tasks and solutions set out in the Political Report submitted to the Congress in the coming term.
He suggested that the congress seriously accept the instructions of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary Thai Dai Ngoc to thoroughly grasp and concretize them into the program and plan to implement the Congress Resolution in the coming time.
At the congress, Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, expressed his deep condolences to the people, cadres, union members and workers in the province for the difficulties and losses caused by the recent historic storm and flood. At the same time, he acknowledged the spirit of mutual love and efforts to overcome difficulties of the provincial Trade Unions at all levels in promptly caring for, encouraging and supporting union members and workers affected by natural disasters.
According to Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan, in the past term, the provincial trade unions at all levels have made many innovations in content and methods of operation, focusing on performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees. Care work is regularly deployed with many creative and effective models and methods, especially during peak periods such as holidays, Tet, Workers' Month and models "Union Shelter", "Union Meal"...
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated and commended the outstanding results achieved by the provincial trade unions at all levels in the past term.
"The results achieved are very commendable, but there are also limitations and shortcomings. The process of reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus, streamlining the payroll and adjusting the operating mechanism has affected the quality and efficiency of the Trade Union's operations. These are issues that the congress needs to deeply analyze, discuss and determine solutions to overcome in the coming term," Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan directed.
Mr. Huynh Thanh Xuan suggested that immediately after the congress, the Executive Committee of the new Provincial Federation of Labor urgently complete, promulgate and implement the Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution along with plans to implement breakthroughs and key tasks effectively and in practice.
In response to the direction of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary and Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor - called on all cadres, civil servants and employees in the province to continue to promote the spirit of innovation, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees; take the effectiveness of serving union members as a measure, considering each grassroots union, each union member and employee as the focus of innovation.
