Propagating social insurance policies to more than 500 workers in Hai Phong City
Hai Phong - On the morning of December 7, more than 500 union members and workers in the city participated in a conference to disseminate legal policies on social insurance and the Trade Union Law.
At the program, representatives of the City Labor Federation Trade Union Working Committee informed union members and workers about social insurance policies and new points of the 2024 Trade Union Law. In which, it emphasized a number of important new points of the Social Insurance Law 2024 such as expanding the subjects participating in compulsory social insurance (business owners, part-time workers, etc.); reducing the minimum contribution period to receive pensions from 20 to 15 years; supplementing social pension benefits for the elderly without pensions; allowing monthly allowances when they are old but have not paid for the full year; changing the basis of social insurance contributions...
The information at the conference helped the team of union officials and workers grasp more the new points in legal policies; clearly understand their rights and responsibilities. At the same time, fostering skills in organizing movements at the grassroots level - an important foundation for increasingly strong trade union activities.
Also at the program, workers are trained in skills to organize collective activities with many attractive games, bringing a joyful atmosphere. This is one of the activities within the framework of the 1st Employment Day in 2025 organized by the City Labor Federation.
