High-quality human resources need to be linked to social security policies
Many union officials and workers expressed their delight at the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party and hoped that the authorities would soon implement the decisions of the congress, focusing on developing high-quality human resources associated with caring for union members and workers.
Focus on developing high-quality human resources
Ms. Pham Thi Hong Yen - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Intel Products Vietnam Co., Ltd. - commented that the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party is an important historical milestone, continuing to strengthen the belief that the agreed orientations will contribute to building a sustainable, stable and prosperous country.
From the initial successes, it is necessary to clearly define the consistent strategic orientation of developing high-quality human resources, considering this a core foundation for Vietnam's digital and semiconductor industry. In the context of a strong restructuring of the global value chain, this is a key area that determines competitiveness and long-term growth. The decisive factor is not only capital or technology, but first of all, people - a team of qualified, disciplined workers, innovative thinking and integration ability.
Investing in people is the most effective and sustainable investment. In the coming time, it is necessary to promote training for microchip engineers, automation, artificial intelligence, while improving the skills of technical workers; linking training with business needs, creating lifelong learning conditions and quickly adapting to new technology. Developing digital human resources requires synchronous coordination between education - training, businesses and the whole society, which is also a key factor for Vietnam to become a long-term investment destination.
Working well with human resources will help workers have sustainable jobs, businesses improve competitiveness and the country gradually affirms its position in the high-tech industries of the future - Ms. Yen shared.
Completing mechanisms and social security policies for informal workers
Mr. Le Tan Luu - Chairman of Binh Tan Technology Motorbike taxi Union - expressed "After the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, we are very confident and hopeful in a new stage of national development. We hope that all levels and sectors will continue to pay more deeply to the informal labor force, including union members of grassroots unions, with specific policies such as: Completing mechanisms and social security policies for informal workers on voluntary social insurance, health insurance, support when sick, accident, occupational risk.
At the same time, strengthen the role of trade unions in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights of workers, especially freelance workers and technology workers; have policies to support sustainable livelihoods for union members with preferential loans, working means, skills training, and job conversion in line with the development trend of a green economy and digital economy.
In particular, it is necessary to pay more attention to the spiritual life and social welfare of union members, especially disadvantaged workers, single female workers, and older workers. We believe that, with the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party, the timely and practical attention of authorities and trade unions at all levels for informal labor will contribute to strengthening the great solidarity bloc, ensuring social security and sustainable national development".
Increasing wages and income for workers
Mr. Doan Tran Nhiem - a worker at Nidec Vietnam Company - said: "Following the information of the 14th National Congress of the Party through the press, I see that the Congress has made many important decisions related to the development of the country and people, including workers in the coming time.
It can be clearly seen that over the years, under the leadership of the Party, the lives of workers have been increasingly improved and enhanced. However, a number of workers still face difficulties in renting a house to live in, while their salaries are not enough to buy or rent social housing.
In his speech at the Congress, General Secretary To Lam said that the general goal of this Congress is: to maintain a peaceful and stable environment; develop the country quickly and sustainably; improve and comprehensively enhance people's lives; strategic autonomy, self-reliance, confidence, and strong progress in the new era of the nation; successfully achieve the goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and high average income by 2030.
General Secretary To Lam also emphasized: Economic growth must be closely linked to progress, social justice and environmental protection, so that the material and spiritual life of the people is constantly improved, so that the society is truly harmonious and democratic, so that people believe in the path to socialism.
Therefore, workers hope that the Party will have policies to increase wages and incomes for workers, shifting from the minimum wage to a living wage, so that each worker can raise at least one child.
In addition, there should be a policy to create more conditions for workers to improve their spiritual life, have more rest to regenerate their labor, take care of their families, children and enjoy the fruits of their labor".
