Proactively prevent drugs from entering industrial parks and export processing zones
Nghe An - On the afternoon of December 28, the Labor Relations Department (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) coordinated to organize training to improve propaganda capacity, and a seminar on drug prevention and control.

Attending the conference were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Manh Kien - Deputy Head of Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Kha Van Tam - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation.
Also attending were representatives of the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department (Ministry of Public Security), Nghe An Provincial Police and 200 grassroots union officials from Nghe An and Ha Tinh.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized that the information and propaganda work of the trade union organization is not only about conveying policies but also an important part of social governance, helping workers access accurate and timely information, limiting risks in labor relations.

In the context of a rapid increase in the workforce and an increasingly expanding scale of organization, but the propaganda work team is not commensurate, union officials need to proactively improve their capacity, innovate methods, and promote the application of technology to improve operational efficiency.
At the program, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu presented the topic "New context and issues facing Vietnam Trade Union", analyzing the impacts of industrialization, modernization, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, international integration and difficulties in workers' lives and inadequacies in implementing labor laws.

Next is a seminar to improve the effectiveness of drug prevention and control propaganda among workers. The delegates listened to reports and discussions on the situation of drug crimes and prevention methods from officials of the Ministry of Public Security and Nghe An Provincial Police.

Through the seminar, union officials were equipped with more knowledge and skills to identify risks, proactively prevent the penetration of drugs and social evils into the working environment in industrial parks and export processing zones; and shared many solutions and initiatives to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work in the coming time.
