Visiting and encouraging families of workers who have had work-related accidents
HCMC - The working delegation of the HCMC Labor Federation visited, encouraged and presented 10 million VND to support the family of a worker who had a work accident.
On the afternoon of January 16, Area Management Working Group No. 5, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) organized a delegation to visit the families of workers who died in work accidents.

Previously, at noon on January 15, Mr. P.V.B (born in 1993) and a colleague were drying mud in a manhole in Tan Ngoc quarter, Phu My ward. When Mr. P.V.B went down to the manhole to measure the depth, he suddenly had an accident and fell down. Another colleague went down to the rescue but also fainted, suspected of suffocation. Despite the quick support of the people and authorities, both workers did not survive.
Mr. P.V.B's family situation is very difficult as he is the main breadwinner in the family, his wife does not have a stable job, and raises a 2-year-old child. The whole family is living on a farm, while also taking care of his wife's grandmother who is over 80 years old; supporting her elderly parents... so life is facing many shortages.
Sharing with the relatives of the workers in distress, the working group kindly visited and encouraged the family to soon overcome the pain and stabilize their lives. In case of difficulties and problems, the Trade Union will accompany and support workers according to regulations.
On this occasion, the delegation also presented support to Mr. P.V.B's family in the amount of 10 million VND; Phu My Ward People's Committee supported 5 million VND, Long Dien Commune Fatherland Front Committee supported 1 million VND, contributing to helping the family overcome the immediate difficulties.
