HCMC transfers 17 grassroots trade unions to commune and ward levels for management
HCMC - 4 grassroots trade unions have more than 1,000 union members; along with 13 grassroots trade unions in industrial parks transferred to commune and ward trade unions for management.
On January 6, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HFF) held a ceremony to transfer grassroots unions with 1,000 or more union members; grassroots unions in Dat Do Industrial Park (in the area of Area Management Working Group No. 5) to local unions for management.
In which, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation transferred 4 grassroots unions with more than 1,000 union members to local unions including: Tam Long ward; Long Dien commune, Dat Do commune, Ho Tram commune.
At the same time, 13 grassroots trade unions in Dat Do Industrial Park with nearly 3,000 union members were transferred to Dat Do Commune Trade Union for management.
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, the transfer is a policy that has been carefully considered by the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation, on the basis of closely following the regulations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and at the same time stemming from the practical requirements of the organization and operation of the Trade Union in the current period.
The transfer is not only a change in organizational management, but more importantly, it is to improve the effectiveness of Trade Union activities at the grassroots level, ensuring that all activities of the grassroots Trade Union after handover are maintained stably and smoothly, without interrupting the rights of union members and workers.
The trade unions of the localities that receive the need to develop plans, assign staff to monitor, guide, and support the activities of grassroots trade unions; promptly grasp the situation of union members and workers, especially in units with a large number of workers and many difficult circumstances. Strengthen coordination with local Party committees, authorities and functional agencies in the area to effectively perform the role of representing, caring for and protecting workers' rights.
Grassroots trade unions continue to promote a sense of responsibility, proactively coordinate closely with commune and ward trade unions during the transfer process and in organizing activities; strictly implement the provisions of the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, ensure that trade union activities at the unit are increasingly disciplined, effective and substantial.
