Thanh Hoa - An FDI enterprise has decided to spend more than 5 billion VND to organize a New Year's Meal for 13,000 workers at luxury restaurants.
Organizing Tet holidays for tens of thousands of workers
On January 7, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Huu Quang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that, implementing the plan of the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor on organizing the activities of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year and the Tet Sum Vay program, in order to promote the care of workers during the coming of Tet and Spring, the Board of Directors of the company has coordinated with the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. to develop a plan to organize "Yester Meal" for workers in 2026.
According to Mr. Quang, through the New Year's Meal, the company hopes to express gratitude and thank the contributions of employees in 2025, while also demonstrating the Board of Directors' concern for the team of staff and employees who have always accompanied, worked hard, and contributed to achieving positive results in production and business activities.
The New Year's Meal takes place in the atmosphere of Tet and Spring, creating warmth and solidarity, thereby encouraging, motivating and creating new motivation for workers to continue to strive, joining hands to build a stable and developed company in 2026.
The participants in the "Yar Meal" are all 13,000 workers working at two facilities of Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd. The venue is at luxury restaurants such as Royal Palace and White Palace (Hac Thanh Ward, Thanh Hoa Province). Each meal is worth 400,000 VND/person, with a total cost of more than 5 billion VND.
Due to the large number of workers attending, the party is held on Sundays, divided into two time frames: morning from 10:30 to 12:30 and afternoon from 5:30 to three 30, starting from January 4 to February 7, 2026.
Warm meals at the end of the year
"Organizing a New Year's Meal for up to 13,000 people is not easy. However, with the goal of creating a cozy, united and meaningful atmosphere during the coming of Tet and Spring, we have planned early, closely coordinated with relevant units, and carefully prepared the steps to make the parties take place safely, effectively and happily" - Mr. Quang shared.
According to Mr. Quang, this is not the first time the company has organized a party for all workers. Previously, in May 2025, on the occasion of Workers' Month, the company and the Company's Trade Union held a gratitude party for 13,000 workers. Continuing this activity, the company continues to organize the New Year's Eve party to take care of the material and spiritual life of workers.
In addition to the New Year's Eve party, on the occasion of the New Year, the company gave gifts of cooking oil to 13,000 employees. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, the company will continue to organize the Tet Sum Vay program, the Company's Trade Union will give Tet gifts to all workers. In addition, the enterprise will pay the 13th month salary bonus and annual leave payment at the rate of 300%.
According to many workers working at Sakurai Vietnam Co., Ltd., over the years, the enterprise has been assessed as a unit that has implemented well the regimes and policies for employees.
