Union year's meal for 7,700 workers
The union year-end meal at the Union and Ha Phong Garment Export Joint Stock Company had nearly 7,700 workers attending.
On December 30, the Trade Union and Ha Phong Garment Export Joint Stock Company (Hiep Hoa commune, Bac Ninh province) organized the program "Union Year's Meal".
Attending were Mr. Thach Van Chung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation.
At the program, nearly 7.7 thousand union members and workers of Ha Phong Garment Export Joint Stock Company were supported with meals worth 65,000 VND/meal (an increase of 45,000 VND/meal per day). The funding source is sponsored by the company's board of directors and the grassroots union.
Accordingly, in addition to rice, fruit and yogurt for dessert, the menu of the meal has many delicious, nutritious dishes, imbued with the traditional Tet flavor such as: Boiled chicken, horse pig, bamboo shoot soup, vermicelli, banh chung, banh day...
According to Ms. Vu Thi Thanh Ha - Chairwoman of the company's Trade Union, the trade union is authorized by the leadership to manage the collective kitchen, regularly monitor quality, and ensure food safety and hygiene. In 2025, the union will maintain and expand the improved meal model with about 650 meals/day, diversifying menus such as noodles, pho, fried rice, bread, etc., contributing to meeting demand, improving health, and ensuring labor productivity for workers. The "Union Meal" program is held periodically twice a year.
For the first time organizing a year-end union meal, the company and the grassroots union hope to create a warm and cohesive atmosphere between business leaders, union organizations and union members; recognizing the attachment and working efforts of workers in the past year.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Thach Van Chung acknowledged and praised the results that the company's trade union has achieved in the past time, emphasizing that this result is not only achieved through the solidarity and efforts of workers and grassroots trade unions but also the attention and sharing of enterprise leaders with the working group.
Mr. Thach Van Chung said that this is the first union year's dinner program held in the province; expressed his hope that the company's union will continue to promote the spirit of initiative, innovation, creativity, and increasingly better perform its role as a representative, caretaker, and defender the rights of union members.
On the occasion of entering the new year 2026, he sent his best wishes to all employees; wished businesses continued development, job security, income, and further improving the material and spiritual life of employees.
It is known that Ha Phong Garment Export Joint Stock Company specializes in manufacturing export garment products, currently the company creates jobs for nearly 7.7 thousand workers with an average income of 11.9 million VND/person/month, higher than the average in the area. On this occasion, the company's Trade Union allocated funds to give gifts to 40 union members in difficult circumstances (each worth 1 million VND including gifts and cash).
