Union members in need are taken care of with 18,000 gifts for Tet

Caring is key

Lunar New Year is always a special time for union members and workers, especially those with low incomes, difficult circumstances, and far from home. Therefore, the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has implemented many key activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026, with the consistent goal of "All union members and workers have Tet".

Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that this year's Tet care activities for union members and workers have been implemented synchronously, with focus and key points, directly targeting the most disadvantaged groups. In particular, priority is given to union members and workers who have had work accidents, serious illnesses, are affected by natural disasters and epidemics, and union members and workers who are renting and do not have the conditions to return home for Tet.

One of the highlights is the organization of the "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" Program.

According to the plan, the Provincial Federation of Labor will organize the "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" program for 2 days, expected to take place from January 26 to 31, 2026, at the Chau Son Industrial Park Cultural - Sports Center (Chau Son Ward). In parallel with the direct activities at the program, union members and workers are also able to participate in the online "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

"Not only stopping at preferential shopping space, the Trade Union Tet Market is also a place for union members and workers to experience the Tet atmosphere early, meet, share and clearly feel the attention of the Trade Union organization in the last days of the year" - Mr. Long shared.
Also according to Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Hai Long, in addition to visiting and giving gifts, and wishing a happy New Year, it continues to be considered a key task.The Provincial Federation of Labor will organize delegations to directly visit enterprises, industrial parks, and units with many union members and workers to visit, encourage, and give Tet gifts.

For the Provincial Federation of Labor, it is expected to give 18,000 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year 2026, each worth 1 million VND, including 700,000 VND in cash and 300,000 VND in kind.

From plan to action for a full Tet

The Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor has directed the Trade Union Committees of industrial parks, commune-level Trade Unions and trade unions to coordinate with enterprises, employers and local authorities to support a part of the cost of purchasing bus tickets for union members and workers to return home for Tet and return to work after Tet safely, conveniently and thoughtfully. Trains and support policies focus on giving priority to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who are far from home and are working in industrial parks in the province.

The Provincial Federation of Labor has also directed unions at all levels to proactively coordinate with employers to publicize the salary and Tet bonus payment plan at least 20 days before the Lunar New Year holiday. At the same time, supervise the implementation of regimes on working hours, rest hours, overtime, ensuring legitimate rights for union members and workers, especially during the peak season at the end of the year.

According to Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Hai Long, trade unions at all levels in the province not only take care of material things but also focus on spiritual activities for union members and workers during the Lunar New Year such as organizing the program "Tet Sum Vay" and "Union Meal" with a budget of 70,000 VND/meal from union financial resources or socialized sources.

The implementation of activities to care for union members and workers during Tet is closely linked to the work of grasping the situation of labor relations, promptly detecting and coordinating the handling of cases of enterprises facing difficulties, risk of unpaid wages, bonuses, dissolutions, bankruptcies or fleeing before Tet, in order to protect the legitimate rights and interests of workers and maintain stable security and order in the area - Mr. Long affirmed.
