Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor supports 126 million VND for workers affected by storm No. 10
Ninh Binh - The Provincial Federation of Labor has donated 126 million VND to support 63 workers in the area affected by the recent storm No. 10.
Accordingly, representatives of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor visited, encouraged and presented support to 43 employees at Viet Power Company Limited (Hai Tien Commune, Ninh Binh Province) and 20 employees of Chung Jye Ninh Binh Shoe Manufacturing Company Limited (at Khanh Nhac Industrial Cluster, Yen Khanh Commune, Ninh Binh Province).
This is an activity to promptly encourage and share difficulties with union members and workers who suffered heavy property damage due to the impact of the recent storm No. 10.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor - said that each worker is supported with 2 million VND, from the provincial Federation of Labor's budget.
The leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor sent their condolences, shares, and encouragement to workers to soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives, and work with peace of mind.
The Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Federation of Labor affirmed that the Trade Union organization always accompanies and is a reliable support for union members and workers, promptly cares for and protects their rights, contributing to helping them overcome difficulties and stick with businesses.
"We hope that through these gifts, we can add motivation, spirit and help the families of workers soon stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind. This is a practical activity demonstrating the spirit of "mutual love", promoting the tradition of solidarity and attachment of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers" - Mr. Long shared.
Storm No. 10 caused serious damage, killing 9 people and injuring 50 people; over 3,150 hectares of rice fields and 200 hectares of aquaculture ponds were flooded; about 102 hectares of people's salt fields were flooded and thousands of poultry died... The total estimated damage is about nearly 1,200 billion VND.
