Da Nang Labor Union focuses resources on taking care of Tet for union members and workers

Tường Minh (báo lao động) 30/12/2025 17:50 (GMT+7)

Da Nang - City Labor Federation Concentrates resources on taking care of Tet with the goal of "All union members and workers have Tet and enjoy Tet".

22,000 union members and workers have gifts

Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: the work of caring for Tet in 2026 continues to be implemented according to the motto "wherever there are union members in difficulty, there are trade unions".

The focus is on familiar programs but have been expanded in scale and beneficiaries such as: Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng, Union Tet Market, Union Tet Journey, accompanying union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

In the program to accompany union members in difficult circumstances, it is expected that 22,000 union members and workers will be visited and given gifts with a support level of 1 million VND/person, drawn from union financial resources.

Beneficiaries include low-income workers; those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases; serious illnesses; those affected by natural disasters, floods; those whose working hours have been reduced or who have lost their jobs; workers from policy families; workers who have not had the opportunity to return home for Tet or stay to work during Tet for many years.

In addition, about 1,000 workers living in self-managed workers' groups in boarding houses, single workers, and workers living in workers' housing in Hoa Cam Industrial Park will also receive Tet gifts, thereby contributing to sharing difficulties and encouraging workers to feel secure in their commitment to the enterprise.

Allocation of 50,000 shopping vouchers

A meaningful highlight in the series of activities to care for Tet is the Trade Union Tet Journey with the Trade Union Bus trip - Spring 2026 and Trade Union Train - Spring 2026 programs.

According to the plan, the City Trade Union will support 2,000 train tickets for union members and workers during this year's Tet holiday; Union bus trips are organized based on the actual registration needs from the grassroots.

The priority of the program is union members in difficult circumstances and workers who have not been able to return home for Tet for many years. In particular, the program offers train and bus tickets for the whole family of union members, so that couples and children can return to their hometown on a trip together, creating a more complete and warmer Tet.

The Trade Union Tet journey is expected to take place from December 24 to 29, ensuring safety and convenience, contributing to reducing traffic pressure and travel costs for workers far from home.

At the same time, Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng and Union Tet Market continue to be emotional appointments for union members and workers. The series of activities includes: opening the 2026 Trade Union Tet Market; discount booths, incentives; legal advice; giving Tet gifts, train tickets, bus tickets; organizing fun activities, winning games, creating a bustling and cozy atmosphere before the New Year.

This year, the program has a special meaning as it is the first Tet season to be held after the merger of the Da Nang City Labor Federation and the old Quang Nam province. To ensure that all union members can benefit, the program is held at two locations, Ban Thach ward and Hoa Khanh ward.

The City Labor Federation has allocated 50,000 shopping vouchers, each worth VND100,000, to help union members shop for Tet at more economical costs.

Not only relying on city-level activities, the City Labor Federation also directs grassroots unions to proactively develop plans to take care of Tet at their units; mobilize businesses to participate in giving gifts, organizing shuttle buses, and supporting train tickets for workers to return home.

A notable new point during the 2026 Lunar New Year is the organization of the Trade Union Year Meal at many enterprises. This activity inherits the positive results from the Trade Union Meal program in recent times, creating space for workers, Trade Union organizations, employers and local authorities to share, connect, foster trust and long-term companionship.

With careful preparation, focused resources and increasingly practical approaches, believing that the 2026 Spring Binh Ngo will not only be a "full" Tet, but will be a happier, warmer and more complete Tet for union members and workers across the city.
