Vinh Long Labor Union focuses on perfecting the organization and taking care of the 2026 Union Members' Tet

According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor, from December 22 to 27, the Provincial Federation of Labor focused on directing and implementing many key activities, ensuring the progress of tasks after the Provincial Federation of Labor Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

During the week, the Standing Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor held a meeting to review experiences in preparing and organizing the 1st Provincial Trade Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term; and at the same time, held a Standing Committee Conference on December 27 to collect opinions on many important draft.

The contents discussed include the action program to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress, the full-term working program, the regulations for the Executive Committee's activities, and the assignment of tasks to members of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee, term I, 2025-2030.

The Standing Committee also approved the 2026 Trade Union Work Program, implemented activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate Spring and organized the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" Program in 2026, associated with the emulation movement to celebrate major congresses.

During the week, the Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor attended the 2nd Conference of the 14th Giao Long Commune Party Committee Executive Committee and attended the 1st Dong Thap Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030.

Vice Chairmen and members of the Standing Committee attended many important events such as the Tay Ninh Provincial Trade Union Congress, a conference to guide the introduction of candidates for the 16th National Assembly, Provincial People's Council delegates for the 2026-2031 term and a conference to summarize the work of the Red Cross in 2025.

Regarding professional results, the Provincial Federation of Labor submitted to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long province to request the policy of organizing the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" in 2026; submitted to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to propose the President to award the Second Class Labor Medal to 3 individuals.

Along with that, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor has appraised the dossier for establishing commune and ward trade unions, resulting in 3/13 qualified units; newly established 1 grassroots trade union with 9 union members, bringing the total number of recognized grassroots trade unions to 432 units.

Inspection and supervision work continues to be strengthened, with the inspection and supervision of 5 affiliated grassroots trade unions; organizing the first Inspection Committee Conference, giving comments on many documents guiding the inspection work for the new term.

During the week, the Provincial Federation of Labor allocated the number of collectives and individuals proposing rewards in 2025; at the same time, issued many related documents to care for Tet for union members in difficult circumstances, gender equality, occupational safety and hygiene and digital transformation in the Front system.
