After a period of observing the activities of the trade union organization and being propagated and mobilized by the Trade Union of Tan Tao Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, most employees in the company saw the benefits of joining the trade union, so 50/50 direct employees (except for 3 management officials) voluntarily wrote applications to join the trade union. "Brothers are all excited to become members of the Vietnam Trade Union organization" - Mr. Ngoc said.

Mr. Tran Vi Quyen - Vice Chairman of the Phu Dinh ward motorbike taxi and technology taxi union, Ho Chi Minh City - said that the union was established in April 2026 with more than 50 union members. Union members are very happy to be cared for by the ward union, sometimes giving cash, rice, and cooking oil. Recently, the ward union also proposed that the union find union members in the most difficult circumstances so that the ward trade union would donate a motorbike worth more than 20 million VND as a livelihood. "In general, the brothers are very excited because joining the union is cared for in many ways" - Mr. Quyen said.

Proactively review, actively propagate, and mobilize

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuan - Chairman of Tan Tao Ward Trade Union, from the beginning of the year to now, the Ward Trade Union has propagated, mobilized and contributed to the establishment of 12 grassroots trade unions with nearly 1,570 union members.

Currently, the Ward Trade Union organizes many forms of propaganda and mobilization for workers to join the Trade Union and the locality has many activities to care for union members practically and effectively. These actions have helped workers better understand the Vietnam Trade Union organization and voluntarily join and become members of the Vietnam Trade Union" - Mr. Tuan said.

According to Mr. Huynh Vinh Lam - Chairman of Ben Thanh Ward Trade Union, in July 2026, 19 grassroots trade unions in the area were established and developed, increasing by 667 new members, of which Vien Son Informatics Technology One Member Limited Liability Company's grassroots trade union alone increased by 157 new members.

To achieve the above results, Ben Thanh Ward Trade Union has proactively reviewed businesses that meet the conditions for establishing grassroots trade unions, strengthened propaganda and mobilized businesses and employees about the role and benefits of establishing trade union organizations. At the same time, assigned officials to directly support businesses in completing dossiers and guiding the process of establishing grassroots trade unions according to regulations. In addition, care and welfare activities for union members are also regularly implemented, creating a spreading effect and enhancing employees' trust in the trade union organization.

However, Mr. Lam also said that the work of developing union members is still facing some difficulties because many businesses are small in scale, labor fluctuates frequently, some business owners are still hesitant to establish trade union organizations, and a part of workers do not fully understand the rights and meaning of joining the trade union.

And Mr. Tran Van Thang - Chairman of Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union, Ho Chi Minh City - shared that on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026) recently, the ward trade union also announced decisions to establish 2 grassroots trade unions and 1 trade union with a total of 102 union members. In general, from the beginning of the year to now, Phu Dinh Ward Trade Union has propagated, mobilized and developed 11 grassroots trade unions with 620 union members.

The establishment of grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions not only marks a new step in the work of mobilizing and gathering workers, but also shows the concern of higher-level trade unions for the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers in both the informal sector" - Mr. Thang said.
