Doctors in Khanh Hoa have received full salaries after being reported by Lao Dong Newspaper
Khanh Hoa - After the reflection of Lao Dong Newspaper, the team of doctors in the mountainous areas has been paid the salaries that have been lacking for the past 2 months.
On the morning of November 11, doctors working at the Khanh Vinh Regional Medical Center (old Khanh Vinh District) said that they had been paid 2 months' salary.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article "Doctors in many mountainous communes of Khanh Hoa are owed wages" reflecting the difficulties in funding for Khanh Vinh Medical Center and some units, leading to slow payment of income to workers.
Immediately afterwards, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan assigned the Department of Finance to consider the Department of Health's proposal to supplement the collection of insufficient funds to cover expenses in 2025 for Khanh Vinh Regional Medical Center.
The Department of Finance then appraised the estimate, determined the funding source and advised the Provincial People's Committee to resolve it in accordance with regulations, completing the salary payment before November 7, 2025.
A doctor at Khanh Vinh Regional Medical Center shared that in difficult times, they were very moved when their voice was conveyed by Lao Dong Newspaper to the authorities.
"We are happy to be listened to and appreciate more when local leaders and the Department of Health have promptly directed the payment of salaries, helping to stabilize the lives of doctors and nurses here" - the doctor said.
