More than 2,600 union members and workers in Khanh Hoa receive legal aid from the union
Khanh Hoa - Legal consultancy and legal support for union members and workers have been of interest to all levels of trade unions.
On November 8, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor said that in the past time, the Provincial Trade Union Legal Advisory Office has received and supported thousands of union members and workers in providing legal advice and assistance.
From 2023 to present, 2,640 union members and workers have received legal support. In addition to direct and phone consultations, the Provincial Federation of Labor also organizes consultation conferences at crowded workers' gatherings.
Many outstanding cases have been intervened such as dialogues with minexco Mineral Joint Stock Company on social insurance payment and settlement of unemployment benefits for more than 20 employees; working with representatives of 17 employees of Song Da - Nha Trang Joint Stock Company on unpaid wages and social insurance debts.
The Provincial Federation of Labor has instructed workers to complete procedures to require businesses to fully pay the regime, and at the same time supported 192 million VND for 96 employees of Rang Dong Paper Joint Stock Company whose contracts were suspended due to businesses cutting orders.
According to the leader of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, the consultations help workers better understand labor laws, while helping the trade union grasp the thoughts, aspirations, and pressing issues to recommend appropriate solutions to the authorities, protecting the legitimate rights of workers.
Along with that, the Provincial Federation of Labor annually organizes a dialogue conference between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and union members and workers.
The contents focus on policies to ensure employment and income; support improving vocational skills; build cultural institutions, supermarkets, houses, schools, and kindergartens to serve workers.
Through these conferences, more than 100 proposals and recommendations from union members and workers have been sent to competent authorities for consideration and resolution
