From a car of gratitude to a ton of coal at the beginning of spring for miners

Hundreds of buses pick up workers

From early morning of the 6th day of Tet (February 22nd), Mr. Sen Duc Xuong, his wife and 2 children took a bus from his house in Xin Man district, former Ha Giang province to the center of Ha Giang (about 150km) - where a car of Ha Long Coal Company is waiting to take workers and laborers of the company and relatives to Quang Ninh.

He has been working at Ha Long Coal Company since 2016. In the early years, he and his colleagues had to take their own cars back to their hometowns and had to travel several routes because there were no direct cars from Quang Ninh to some Northwest provinces. In recent years, the company has arranged free cars for workers and their families to return to their hometowns for Tet and then return to their hometowns to pick them up, so the journey back to their hometowns for Tet is much less difficult.

Thank you very much to the company and the trade union for taking care of our travel. Departing early in the morning of the 6th day of Tet, we only arrived in the afternoon of the same day to return to work normally on the morning of the 7th day," miner Sen Duc Xuong shared.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company - said that dozens of company vehicles traveling throughout provinces and cities to pick up workers, laborers and relatives to return to their hometowns for Tet until the evening of February 22 have arrived in Ha Long, to start working the next day.

Those buses not only have miners, but also a large number of relatives and their families. This is also a way for the company to share difficulties and express gratitude for their and their families' contributions to the company," Mr. Nhuong said.

On those meaningful trips at many coal companies, the number of relatives is much larger than the number of miners. Among them, 37 trips of Hon Gai Coal Company with 1,510 people have 505 miners and 1,005 relatives.

Organizing "two-way" bus trips (bringing workers home and picking them up to return to work) has long become a cultural beauty of TKV. This solution solves the difficult problem of transportation during peak seasons, helping miners feel secure in enjoying the joy with their families and returning to their units on schedule.

A total of over 11,800 people have been arranged by TKV with 314 bus trips to take them home for Tet. The remaining people travel on their own and are supported by companies with bus ticket money.

Opening Spring from the 4th day of Tet

Meanwhile, open-pit coal mining companies and some other units of TKV, which often do not have workers in distant provinces and cities, have started spring mining from the 4th day of Tet.

In which, on the morning of the 4th day of Tet, Deo Nai Coal - Coc Sau Joint Stock Company organized the Spring Opening and resumed work after the Lunar New Year holiday of Binh Ngo 2026. Immediately after the spring opening program, construction sites and workshops simultaneously launched production, inspected equipment and vehicles, arranged reasonable human resources, ensuring technical conditions, labor safety and environment. The atmosphere of urgent and serious labor spread throughout construction sites and workshops, showing the determination to successfully complete the production and business plan for 2026.

Also on the morning of the 4th day of Tet, Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company officially launched production, exploiting the first ton of coal with the goal of determinedly completing and exceeding the targets right from the first days and first months of the Binh Ngo year.

Mr. Pham Quoc Viet - Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Company - along with leaders, Heads of Departments, and Forecasters came to wish Tet, encourage officials, employees, and workers, and organize the opening of spring production in the new year of Binh Ngo.

2026 is forecast to be a difficult and very challenging year for Cao Son Coal. Therefore, units have proactively inspected and maintained the entire motorbike system before the Tet holiday to ensure the highest readiness rate for the new year; Compliance with operating discipline, ensuring technical and labor safety, determined to implement the goal of "Solidarity - Safety - Innovation - Development".

At Cua Ong Coal Selection Company, right in the first production shift of the year on the 4th day of Tet, Cua Ong Port continuously welcomed 3 ships docking to "eat" coal, creating favorable momentum for the whole year's consumption plan.

According to Mr. Do Van Tang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Cua Ong Coal Selection Company - the company's production departments quickly stabilized their organization and launched production with a vibrant atmosphere right from the 4th day of Tet. From the 4th day of Tet to now, the company has consumed more than 147,000 tons of coal, of which 4,477 tons of Block 4 coal have been exported to the Netherlands and tens of thousands of tons of coal for the power plant. On the morning of the 7th day of Tet (February 23), all units of TKV simultaneously opened Spring.
