HCMC - The execution of the judgment has reached 118 decisions forcing Vinh Thong Company to pay wages owed to workers.

On November 10, Mr. Pham Van Hien - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation's Legal Consulting Center - said that up to now, 128 workers of Vinh Thong Production - Trading - Service Company Limited (Vinh Thong Company), residing in Tan Binh Industrial Park, Ho Chi Minh City, have submitted a petition to the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Area 9 - Ho Chi Minh City, forcing the company to enforce the judgment of paying wages and social insurance for workers.

The workers also requested the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Region 9 - Ho Chi Minh City to apply measures to temporarily suspend exit for Vinh Thong Company's legal representatives, freeze the company's accounts at banks or apply enforcement measures according to the provisions of law to ensure enforcement obligations.

Up to now, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Department of Region 9 - Ho Chi Minh City has issued 118 decisions requiring Vinh Thong Company to enforce the judgment, pay wages to workers according to the judgments and decisions recognizing mediation issued previously by the People's Court of Region 9, Ho Chi Minh City.

According to current regulations, from the date of receipt of the decision to enforce the judgment, Vinh Thong Company will have 10 days to voluntarily enforce the judgment. If the company fails to voluntarily comply within the above time limit, enforcement measures will be applied.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, due to unpaid wages (about 3.1 billion VND) and late payment of social insurance (about 4.8 billion VND), 137 workers of Vinh Thong Company authorized Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union officials to sue the enterprise in court.

During the case handling, the People's Court of Region 9, Ho Chi Minh City issued 118 decisions recognizing mediation and 19 first instance judgments, requiring Vinh Thong Company to pay the entire salary and social insurance for 137 employees.

However, up to now, Vinh Thong Company has not fulfilled its obligations as committed.
