Trade unions in Lam Dong accompany and remove obstacles to unpaid wages to workers

Lam Dong - The Trade Union promptly took action, supporting workers of Quan Trung Company to commit to paying wages and Social Insurance.

On September 21, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that the unit had coordinated with Ham Thang Ward Labor Union to work with Quan Trung Production and Trading Company Limited.

Some workers of the company (clearing and filling at the Long Thanh airport project, Dong Nai province) reported the slow payment of wages.

Although the incident occurred outside the area, because the company was headquartered in Ham Thang ward, the ward union quickly approached, encouraged workers and worked with the enterprise to protect the rights of workers.

According to the Deputy General Director of Quan Trung Company, after receiving feedback and involvement from the union, the company has proposed a solution to handle: Dividing the unpaid wages, paying the workers who quit their jobs in installments, each installment 100 million VND, based on the outstanding wages of each person.

With social insurance debts, businesses will pay 50 million VND per month to gradually narrow them down, creating conditions for closing social insurance books for workers who quit their jobs.

The company has built a payment roadmap. When the capital from the projects is disbursed, we will pay off the unpaid wages and at the same time fully fulfill our obligations to the workers, the company representative affirmed.

Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged the difficulties of enterprises, but also suggested that the company soon arrange finances, prioritize salary payments to maintain stable labor relations, ensure local security and order.

Ms. Tran Xuan Tham - Chairman of Ham Thang Ward Trade Union - emphasized that businesses need to increase dialogue and listen to workers' opinions to avoid stress.

The case was initially resolved thanks to the timely support and intervention of the trade union organization. With the spirit of listening and protecting the legitimate rights of workers, the trade union not only helps businesses orient debt payment paths, but also creates a bridge for both sides to find a common voice.
