Chemical industry workers actively participate in social security activities

With the tradition of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" of cadres, employees of the entire Vietnam Chemical Group have participated in social security activities (ASXH) inside and outside the group with a total amount of more than 80 billion VND.

The Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union and the group's leaders supported 9 disadvantaged facilities, over 4,700 poor workers' families, 350 workers' children with disabilities and Agent Orange, over 1,000 workers who had serious work-related accidents or suffered from occupational diseases to receive difficulties in allowances, with an amount of over 7 billion VND/year.

The Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade has many activities to support employees in the group such as supporting the construction of "Union Shelter" houses, visiting and giving gifts to employees in difficulty, workers with labor contracts, war invalids and sick soldiers... with hundreds of millions of VND each year. The units also supported people in provinces affected by natural disasters with a total amount of tens of billions of VND.

Currently, units in the entire group are adopting and caring for 19 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers with a subsidy level of 1,000,000 VND - 2,000,000 VND/person/month.

The Social Insurance Fund of the Group has supported other activities such as: Taking care of Tet; supporting war invalids and martyrs' relatives working on the occasion of the 27/7; rewarding excellent students and children of workers in the Group; supporting the construction of "Chemical Shelter"; "Union Shelter" for workers in difficulty and some localities such as Lao Cai, Phu Tho.... As a result, in the past 3 years, nearly 30 "Chemical Shelters"; "Union Shelters" for workers' families with housing difficulties have been repaired and upgraded... The total amount spent on social insurance activities of the Fund in the past 3 years is more than 12 billion VND".

The Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union has organized 450 employees with many achievements or occupational diseases to go to nursing homes at resort tourist destinations such as Quang Binh, Sapa, Mui Ne, the provinces of the Southwest... Through this nursing organization, it has created a very good impression on workers and the trade union organization.

Every year, 100% of employees receive periodic health check-ups according to regulations. Some units have cooperated with reputable hospitals to provide emergency care for serious labor accidents and treat serious diseases for workers; Some units have also purchased health insurance for workers, organized good initial health care, sightseeing, resorts, and health recovery for workers such as Lam Thao Supprocess and Chemical Joint Stock Company, Lan Van Dien, Da Nang Rubber, Southern Basic Chemicals, Binh Dien Fertilizer, Southern Battery...
