Ham Thang Ward Trade Union - promptly resolves labor disputes

In recent times, the Ham Thang Ward Trade Union (Lam Dong Province) has been considered a bright spot in proactively grasping the situation of workers and promptly resolving arising cases.

This is one of the outstanding results presented at the 1st Ham Thang Ward Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, held on the afternoon of October 25. Currently, the ward union is managing 27 grassroots unions, with 4,668 union members.

Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham - Chairwoman of Ham Thang Ward Trade Union - was Head of the Department of Policy, Law and Labor Relations, Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation (before the merger).

With many years of experience in practical handling, Ms. Tham believes that quick grasp, early handling and timely coordination are the most effective solutions to stabilize labor relations.

One typical case is at the Q.T Company Union - a unit with a construction project outside the province but late in paying wages to workers.

As soon as the feedback was received, the ward union proactively contacted each worker to grasp the situation, encourage them to maintain a gentle attitude, and avoid large gatherings.

After that, the ward union worked with the grassroots union and business representatives to find a solution.

Similarly, at a waste treatment company headquartered in Ham Thang ward, there was a situation of prolonged unpaid wages, causing outrage.

Even though the enterprise does not have a grassroots union and the factory is located in another area, the ward union is still proactive in working with the enterprise.

Thanks to timely intervention and exchange, the company has gradually overcome the situation of unpaid wages, paying social insurance, and ensuring the rights of employees.

Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham shared that early grasping the situation, listening to workers' concerns and coordinating with businesses to resolve them are key factors to help stabilize labor relations, prevent disputes and contribute to ensuring social order in the area.

Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Permanent Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - highly appreciated the practical solutions and proactive spirit of Ham Thang Ward Labor Union in handling issues arising at the grassroots level.

At the Ham Thang Ward Trade Union Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term, many key targets, tasks and breakthroughs were approved. Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Tham was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ham Thang Ward Trade Union.
