EVNSPC Trade Union visits and encourages electricity workers in Can Tho

The working delegation led by Mr. Pham Nguyen Minh Chau - Vice Chairman of EVNSPC Trade Union, and representatives of EVNSPC Trade Union Executive Committee visited and worked with workers at Cu Lao Dung, Vinh Vien, Vinh Thanh Power Management Teams under Can Tho City Power Company (PC Can Tho).

The meeting was held in a spirit of closeness, openness, focusing on listening and exchanging directly with workers. Mr. Pham Nguyen Minh Chau suggested not to read the report, taking time for workers to frankly share difficulties and problems in the work process as well as in daily life, especially issues related to working conditions, salary regime, welfare and social security.

At the meeting, workers of the units boldly expressed their thoughts and aspirations. The representative of EVNSPC Trade Union fully acknowledged the opinions and recommendations, and affirmed that they will synthesize, research and propose appropriate and timely solutions to ensure the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.

Mr. Pham Nguyen Minh Chau acknowledged and thanked the efforts of PC Can Tho's workforce in 2025, especially the overcoming of difficult working conditions, ensuring safe and stable operation of the power grid. He expressed his hope that in 2026, the units will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, creativity, and improve work efficiency; at the same time, focus on safety work and protect workers' health to successfully complete assigned goals and tasks.

On this occasion, EVNSPC Trade Union also propagated and mobilized workers to strictly comply with labor discipline, ensure traffic safety; not participate in social evils, superstitions, fireworks, gambling; uphold the spirit of responsibility, be ready to be on duty, ensure safe electricity supply, continuously serve the people during the Lunar New Year.

Responding to the theme "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng", with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, enjoy Tet", the EVNSPC Trade Union has directed grassroots trade unions to coordinate with professionals to synchronously deploy many activities to care for Tet. The focus is on visiting and encouraging workers on duty to operate electricity; organizing Tet gifts for all workers, giving priority to those in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses, those affected by natural disasters, floods; workers in policy families, ethnic minorities and those who have to pay Tet.

In addition, PC Can Tho Trade Union organizes "Union Year's Meal" at departmental Trade Unions with a budget of 70,000 VND/meal from union financial resources; at the same time, implementing the program "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026", creating conditions for union members and workers to purchase essential goods at preferential prices.

Sharing at the visit, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Diem - Deputy Head of the General Team and Head of the Women's Union of Vinh Vien Power Management Team said that the timely attention and encouragement of the Trade Union at all levels is a great source of encouragement, helping workers feel secure in their work and stick with the unit.
