The H08 Department Trade Union currently has 2,348 union members. In recent times, the work of ensuring labor safety and food hygiene and safety has received special attention.

According to the Trade Union of Department H08 (People's Public Security Trade Union), currently, the total number of union members of the Department is 2,348, operating at 7 grassroots unions.

With the characteristics of a production unit, companies and factories spread across the three regions of the North, Central and South, the H08 Department Trade Union pays special attention to ensuring labor safety and food hygiene and safety. In particular, by organizing concentrated shift meals at production units, the H08 Department Union has made efforts with grassroots unions to ensure food hygiene and safety for union members and workers.

From 2023 to 2025, the Department's trade unions at all levels have organized 5 training courses for 65 on-site fire prevention and fighting team members of enterprises; organized training on occupational safety and hygiene for groups of subjects in groups 1 and 4 as prescribed in Decree No. 44/2016/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Law on Occupational Safety and Hygiene on occupational safety and hygiene training activities. The grassroots trade unions have proactively requested business leaders to conduct periodic technical inspections of machinery and equipment with strict requirements on occupational safety and health such as: Steel alloy cutting machines, bulldozers, air compressors, boilers, metal cutting machines...; mobilizing union members to participate in cleaning and viewing the surrounding premises and offices where they work...

The work of ensuring food hygiene and safety in shift kitchens and collective kitchens is important, units regularly check food processing processes, food hygiene and safety requirements, urge, remind, promptly rectify, warn of potential dangers, high risks of occupational safety and hygiene so that workers can raise awareness, proactively and actively, not be subjective, leading to negligence, causing occupational safety and hygiene, food poisoning.

Thanks to good propaganda work and actively promoting the implementation of activities, from 2023 to 2025, grassroots trade union units in Department H08 will not have any incidents of occupational safety and fire and explosion; all collective kitchens ensure food hygiene and safety and no workers will suffer from food poisoning at the unit.
