Especially developing party members among the workforce and laborers directly involved in production and business. This is a supplementary source, strengthening and ensuring the inheritance and development of the Party; contributing to consolidating the class alliance, strengthening the nature of the working class, improving leadership capacity, ruling capacity and fighting strength of the Party.
From the bridging role of the Vietnam Trade Union
The 10th Party Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam clearly states the task of developing party members among workers in places where there is no Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, so those who join the Party must be union members, introduced by the grassroots union executive committee and a party member.
Referring to the issue of developing the Party among workers, at the forum "Strive to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam" co-chaired by the General Confederation of Labor - Central Organizing Committee held on February 16, 2025 in Hanoi, comrade Nguyen Quang Duong - Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, said that this is a particularly important force to develop Party members, because the Party is the forer of the working class. The role of the working class is very important, so developing party members among workers must be given great attention.
deeply appreciating the significance of developing party members among workers and with its responsibility, the 11th, 12th and 13th Congresses of the Vietnam Trade Union set a target: On average, each grassroots union annually introduces at least 01 outstanding union member to the Party organization for training and admission.
In recent years, trade unions at all levels have implemented many solutions to develop the Party among workers and laborers in units and enterprises such as: promoting propaganda work, raising awareness among Party committees, cadres, party members and workers about the position, role, importance, significance and benefits of developing the Party in enterprises.
Focus on consolidating, perfecting, improving the quality of Party organization activities, innovating and improving the quality of Party activities in a practical direction, in accordance with the actual conditions of each unit and each enterprise.
Raising the awareness of business owners about the purpose and significance of establishing a party organization in enterprises, affirming that the establishment of a party organization in enterprises is to accompany enterprises in mobilizing workers to compete in production, comply with labor discipline, and be exemplary in performing tasks, regulations, and rules of the enterprise.

Do a good job of detecting and training to create a source for developing party members. Promote the role of trade unions in party development and continue to educate and train party members in the environment of trade unions.
Under the leadership and direction of Party committees and trade unions at all levels, the role of a bridge between workers and the Party has been affirmed, through the introduction of outstanding workers with sufficient qualities, abilities and revolutionary ideals for the Party to consider admission.
At the same time, the trade union focuses on training workers in ethics, labor discipline awareness, solidarity and social responsibility, thereby forming the necessary qualities to become exemplary party members.
In the 2018 - 2023 term, trade unions at all levels introduced 700,185 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of training and admission, an increase of 1.8 times compared to the previous term. Of which, the number of outstanding union members admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam for the term was 399,676 comrades, an increase of 1.4 times compared to the previous term. The rate of outstanding union members outside the state sector accounts for more than 11%, with nearly 10% of outstanding union members being workers.
In 2024 alone, 80,327 outstanding union members were admitted to the Party's ranks out of 158,813 people introduced by trade unions at all levels.
These figures record the tireless efforts and struggles of a number of union members and the active and responsible participation of unions at all levels.
Coming to the journey of training and striving of outstanding union members
With the support and assistance of the trade union organization, the majority of workers have made continuous efforts, always promoting the spirit of striving to be worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Party member Nguyen Thi Gion - a worker at Lac Ty II Company Limited, Hau Giang province said: "The biggest motivation for me to become a party member is my family. My family is a revolutionary family. My father is a revolutionary activist, a type 3 war invalid, my family has many siblings, including 3 brothers who are party members. My family is very poor, I just keep thinking about businesses to work....When I became a party member, I was aware that I had to strive to work and produce for the development of businesses and the country".
Party member Nguyen Thi My Linh - Juki Vietnam Co., Ltd. (HCMC) - shared: "I thought it would be difficult to become a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam because it is very sacred and must be very excellent workers".

When mobilizing to join the Party, many workers were not enthusiastic and hesitant to ask the question "What can I get into the Party?". Therefore, she often convinces that everyone has their own goals and ideals, but if they become party members, workers and employees will understand more about legal policies and approach the State's policies early...
"For me, I joined the Party to contribute, to practice and set limits so that I know how to stop against temptations and mistakes when examining the regulations that party members are not allowed to do," she said.
As for the member of Chutex International Company Limited (in Song Than Industrial Park, Binh Duong Province), Lai The Phuc, "Up to now, I have absorbed and realized that when I join the Party, I have to practice myself more. I am more mature in all aspects, the business where I work is more stable, the grassroots trade union where I work is more effective", Mr. Phuc said.

The workers and laborers never thought of joining the Party as a means of decentralization or promotion. They continue to be diligent, make efforts, and contribute initiatives to bring benefits to businesses and the country. Those simple people are proud under the Party's flag, becoming pioneers in cultivating revolutionary ethics, in studying and practicing; in labor and production; volunteering in performing political tasks; in difficult and new tasks; ready to share for the community; volunteering to go to remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas; to the poor and vulnerable; ready to go anywhere, do whatever the Fatherland needs.
