Clause 1, Article 19 of the 2025 Law on Public Employees (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the conditions for registration for civil servant recruitment as follows: People who meet the following conditions are allowed to register for civil servant recruitment:

a) Have 01 Vietnamese nationality as prescribed by the Law on Citizenship;

b) Currently residing in Vietnam;

c) Being 18 years of age or older, except for cases prescribed by law on sectors and fields for specific sectors and occupations;

d) Have registered for admission;

d) Have good political and ethical qualities; have a clear background;

e) Good health to perform the task;

g) Meet the conditions required by the job position;

h) Meet other standards and conditions as prescribed by law on professional activities.

Thus, to register for civil service recruitment, the above conditions must be met.
