Regulations on termination of employment and retirement for civil servants from July 1, 2026
Regulations on termination of employment and retirement for civil servants from July 1, 2026 are based on the Law on Civil Servants 2025.
Article 32 of the 2025 Law on Public Employees stipulates the termination and retirement of civil servants as follows:
1. Officials are dismissed if they fall into one of the cases of termination of employment contracts, unilaterally terminating employment contracts according to the provisions of the law on labor or fall into one of the cases specified in Clause 4, Article 22 of this Law. The severance allowance, unemployment allowance, and unemployment allowance regime are implemented in accordance with the provisions of law.
2. Officials are allowed to retire according to the provisions of the law on labor and the law on social insurance; retirement at a lower age or at an older age is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the law on professional activities or the regulations of competent authorities.
3. The Government shall prescribe the authority, order, and procedures for termination and retirement; cases where the employment contract has not been terminated and shall detail this Article.
