Presenting a summary report on the activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2023, working tasks in 2024, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh said that in 2023, under the close leadership and direction of the Standing Committee of the Presidium, Heads of the agencies, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of the General Confederation of Labor, all civil servants, party members, and employees of the Agency have strictly complied with the Party's guidelines, policies, regulations, the State's policies and laws and the Party's principles of organization and discipline, especially the principle of democratic centralism, self-criticism and criticism...

The work of propagating and educating political ideology and law has been strengthened, disseminating the Party's guidelines, policies and resolutions at all levels and the State's laws and policies, major policies of the General Confederation to all cadres, party members and civil servants in the agency; fully participating in training courses to foster, train and study the Central Resolution organized by the General Confederation.

The Agency's Trade Union has proactively and actively coordinated with the Agency's Head in organizing the implementation of democratic regulations. The activities of the People's Inspectorate of the Agency continue to be maintained. The awareness of compliance with discipline, order, practicing thrift, preventing and combating corruption and fighting waste is guaranteed, contributing to building a clean and strong Agency.

In 2023, under the leadership of the Party Delegation, the Executive Committee, the Presidium, the Standing Committee of the Presidium, the collective of cadres, civil servants, and employees of the departments under the General Confederation of Labor focused on researching and advising on many major and important policies related to trade union organization and activities; compliance with labor discipline, rules and regulations of the Agency continued to make many improvements. Many cadres, civil servants and workers voluntarily implement well the internal regulations and rules of the agency, the quality of performing professional tasks has been gradually improved. The sense of responsibility, coordination in each department, unit and between departments and units have had many positive changes.

The implementation of policies and regimes related to cadres, civil servants and workers in 2023 will be implemented by the Heads of agencies and departments in accordance with regulations, ensuring publicity, democracy and timeliness.

Regarding key tasks and solutions in 2024, Vice President of the General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh suggested focusing on handling and resolving the outstanding contents from 2023 to 2024. Continue to overcome limitations and shortcomings, promote a sense of responsibility, clearly assign the role of chairing and coordinating in implementing tasks; report and advise the Standing Committee of the Presidium and the Presidium to promptly resolve and handle new situations arising in practice.

Continue to develop and implement programs, projects, and plans to innovate the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union in the spirit of Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Focus on advising and directing the implementation of the 2024 theme: "Focus on bringing the resolutions of trade union congresses at all levels into life; compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union".

Advising the General Confederation of Labor to organize emulation activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union and Conferences of Commendation in 2024 according to the Plan.

Continue to complete and implement the Digital Transformation Project of the Trade Union organization. Implement the Administrative Reform Plan of the Trade Union organization until 2025. Fully implement the regimes and policies and pay attention to taking care of the material and spiritual lives of cadres, civil servants and employees in the agency; innovate the method of evaluating cadres, civil servants and employees through declaring work diaries, complying with the Agency's public duties, properly implementing ISO processes...

Continue to implement the emulation movement launched by the General Confederation of Labor in conjunction with the implementation of professional tasks, contributing to the successful completion of political tasks in 2024. Promote the role of agency trade unions in detecting and proactively proposing unexpected rewards for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in professional activities, ensuring accuracy, objectivity, and motivation and motivation.

Strengthen propaganda work, encourage union members and workers to actively research, study, improve professional qualifications and skills in trade union activities, in order to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
