Workers stick to the construction site

In the first days of the new year 2026, when many families gathered together, at the Bao Ninh 1 social housing project (Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province), the working atmosphere was still urgent. At the construction site, each group of workers worked tirelessly, the sound of machinery blended with the regular labor rhythm as a commitment to the project's progress.

Mr. Tran Xuan Thuy, 48 years old, from Thanh Linh commune, Nghe An province, has a wife and 2 children, and is one of the workers who have been with the construction site for many years. New Year's Day was originally a holiday, but this year he and his colleagues chose to stay and work through the holidays.

"Although I miss my wife and children very much, the workload is urgent. The brothers encouraged each other to try to work harder to ensure progress and at the same time have more income, Mr. Thuy shared.

According to Mr. Thuy, what makes workers feel secure when sticking to the construction site is the timely attention and encouragement from the investor and the project management board. During holidays, workers are supported with food expenses, overtime pay, creating more motivation to maintain construction speed.

Mr. Duong Tinh, representative of the Bao Ninh 1 Social Housing Project Management Board, said that on the occasion of the 2026 New Year, the management board requires 100% of the human resources of the teams and contractors to maintain continuous construction. The goal is to maintain the general progress and continue to exceed the plan committed to customers.

Currently, the rough part of the project has reached about 80% of the workload. The management board aims to build the roof before Tet and plans to hand over the house in the fourth quarter of 2026.

"We are urging contractors to work overtime and increase teams. The current progress has exceeded the initial commitment and will continue to be maintained, Mr. Duong Tinh affirmed.

Not only stopping at requiring progress, investors also proactively implement policies to support workers during the holidays. Full meals and reasonable overtime are a recognition of the working spirit of workers, helping them feel secure in sticking with the construction site during special times.

Keeping up progress

The working atmosphere at the beginning of the year also spread at the construction site of component project 1 - Coastal Road, where dozens of officers and workers are taking advantage of every hour to keep up with the progress.

At the Nam Roon - Quang Phuc package, after a period of difficulties in site clearance, contractors have quickly restarted construction from the first day of 2026.

Mr. Truong The Doan, representative of Quang Binh General Construction Joint Stock Company II, said that even though it is the first day of the new year, the enterprise still encourages the brothers to go to the construction site. old progress is a mandatory requirement, but we always go hand in hand with support to help workers work with peace of mind, said Mr. Doan.

The project has basically completed the bridge, culvert and drainage works on the route. The roadbed and road surface are under construction within the area where the site has been handed over. The favorable weather at the beginning of the year is a condition for units to accelerate, making up for the previous slowdown.

Mr. Le Thuan Nam, an officer of Traffic Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company II, said that the investor and the consulting unit have mobilized many machines and equipment along with a team of workers to work through the New Year. Support policies are implemented promptly to help workers feel secure and not feel pressured when away from home during holidays, Mr. Nam shared.
