Employment solutions in Quang Tri achieve plan, labor market flourishes

CÔNG SÁNG (báo lao động) 30/12/2025 16:48 (GMT+7)

Quang Tri - The province has completed and exceeded the 2025 job creation plan, but the sustainability of employment is still an issue that needs to be directly examined.

Achieving the plan

In 2025, it is estimated that the whole province will create jobs for 35,120 workers, equivalent to 103% of the set target.

This result comes from the synchronous implementation of many solutions, such as increasing support for loans to solve employment, expanding consulting and job introduction activities, organizing job fairs, promoting the sending of workers to work abroad in high-income and relatively safe markets.

At two Employment Service Centers under the Department, in 2025, 100 job fairs were held, attracting more than 500 businesses to participate in recruitment, nearly 29,000 workers were consulted on labor market information and legal policies on employment.

Although the number of jobs solved is at and exceeds the plan, the Department of Home Affairs also frankly pointed out many shortcomings. The work of forecasting the labor market has not been really effective, leading to certain difficulties in developing employment policies suitable to the actual needs of businesses and workers.

The situation of illegal workers leaving the country and not complying with labor contracts abroad still occurs. Some organizations and individuals do not have sufficient legal functions but still participate in brokerage and collect fees in violation of regulations, posing great risks to workers.

The activity of supporting loans to solve employment, maintain and expand employment has not met the needs of developing production and business of workers.

Shifting from quantity to quality

These problems raise questions about the quality and stability of the job being solved, not just stopping at "enough targets".

The Department of Home Affairs recommends that in the coming time, the province should focus on improving the quality of employment through supporting businesses, production and business establishments, workers to expand production, innovate technology, and create more jobs with stable income. At the same time, promote start-up support for young people, women, and returning workers after working abroad.

Completing the labor database, enhancing the connection between supply and demand, along with closely inspecting and supervising compliance with labor laws at enterprises, is identified as a key solution to ensure job creation associated with sustainable social security.

Completing the target is a necessary condition, but ensuring stable, safe jobs and having insurance is the only condition for workers to truly feel secure in sticking with the labor market.
