Awarding 127 scholarships and school gifts on the occasion of the 137th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang's birthday
An Giang - On the occasion of the 137th anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang's birth, CEP microfinance Corporation awarded 127 scholarships and school gifts to students who overcome difficulties and study well.
On August 20, on the occasion of the solemn national celebration of the 137th anniversary of the birth of President Ton Duc Thang (August 20, 888 - August 20, 2025), CEP microfinance Organization, Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) organized a scholarship and gifts awarded to students who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies, children of CEP customers at Long Xuyen branch.
The ceremony was solemnly held at the An Giang Labor Culture House, Long Xuyen Ward. Attending were Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor; Mr. Hoang Van Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Members of the CEP microfinance Corporation along with more than 100 delegates, families and students who are children of union members, workers and laborers who have overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies.
Accordingly, 51 scholarships and 76 school gifts with a total cost of more than 130 million VND were awarded to 127 poor students who overcame difficulties and studied well... It is known that in 2025, CEP will spend 7.9 billion VND to award scholarships and school gifts to children of customers in difficult circumstances and at high risk of dropping out of school.
Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Hoang Van Thanh affirmed that this is not only a scholarship awarding ceremony, but also to honor the determination and encourage the dreams of students - children of CEP customers - who are day by day overcoming adversity to study well and live beautifully. Moreover, in the context of black credit still haunting many households of workers and laborers, lending according to the CEP microfinance Organization system is not only a safe source of capital, but also a spiritual support and companion for union members, workers and laborers to have a safe source of capital to cover their living expenses.
Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Do Tran Thinh highly appreciated the efforts to care for the children of union members, workers, and laborers who are CEP customers and affirmed that today's scholarships and gifts may be small in material value, but they have great significance. It is not only a gift of faith, a support for them to continue their studies and not abandon their dreams, but also a practical sharing of the burden at the beginning of the school year for parents who are union members, workers, and laborers.
