General Secretary To Lam receives King of Bhutan
On the afternoon of August 19, General Secretary To Lam received Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck at the Party Central Committee Headquarters.
King Bhutan Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and his queen are on a state visit to Vietnam from August 18-22 at the invitation of Politburo member and President Luong Cuong.
The visit is of great significance and historical significance, and is the first visit of the King of Bhutan to Vietnam in 13 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 2012.
The visit of Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and the Queen Mother demonstrates Bhutan's attachment to the strong development of Vietnam and the multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Vietnam and Bhutan established diplomatic relations in January 2012. Since then, the friendship and cooperation between the two countries have developed positively.
