Within the framework of the visit and working trip to Cao Bang, General Secretary To Lam and the working delegation had more activities.
On the afternoon of January 28, General Secretary To Lam and the Central Working Delegation attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Truong Ha Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Truong Ha commune), and met and talked with people of ethnic groups in Cao Bang province.
The working trip shows the deep concern of the Party and State for education in border areas, local human resource development and consolidation of the people's hearts in the Fatherland's border area.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony of Truong Ha Primary and Secondary Boarding School, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes is a major policy with long-term strategic significance, aimed at improving learning conditions for children of ethnic minorities, narrowing the regional gap, contributing to maintaining national defense and security and promoting socio-economic development in border areas.
The school built in Truong Ha is not only an educational project but also carries a deep gratitude to beloved President Ho Chi Minh, continuing the path he has chosen for national independence, for the happiness of the people and the future of future generations.
The General Secretary highly appreciated the proactiveness and responsibility of Cao Bang province in project preparation, and at the same time requested all levels and sectors to implement drastically and synchronously, ensuring progress, quality and actual efficiency of each project.
The General Secretary noted that building schools must be associated with building a comprehensive educational environment; besides teaching literacy, it is necessary to focus on teaching people, fostering ideals, morality, patriotism and discipline for students.
The school must truly become a warm "second home", ensuring good conditions for eating, living, and activities, safety and hygiene, so that parents can feel secure in entrusting their children.
In the Program to build 248 inter-level boarding schools in border communes according to Conclusion No. 81 of the Politburo, Cao Bang province is implementing the construction of 11 projects, striving to complete and put them into synchronous use in the 2026-2027 school year.
This is an important step to train local human resources, form a team of young officials and intellectuals attached to their homeland, capable of building and protecting national borders.
On the same day, at Thuc Phan Ward Stadium, General Secretary To Lam met and talked with a large number of officials, soldiers, students and people of ethnic groups in Cao Bang province.
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, the General Secretary expressed his emotion when meeting compatriots in the revolutionary land, the land marking the historical milestone of President Ho Chi Minh returning to the Fatherland in 1941 to directly lead the Vietnamese revolution.
The General Secretary affirmed that the Party and State will forever remember the great contributions and sacrifices of the people of Cao Bang ethnic groups towards the Party, Uncle Ho and the Vietnamese revolution.
This is a priceless spiritual asset, the foundation of the people's hearts, a source of strength to help the country overcome all difficulties and challenges.
Entering a new stage of development, the General Secretary emphasized that all guidelines and policies of the Party and State must be for the People, by the People and take the People as the center.
The Central Government will continue to implement practical policies such as building schools in border areas, tuition exemption, ensuring health insurance, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, and persistently achieving the goal of leaving no one behind.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam and Party and State leaders presented gratitude gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, people with meritorious services to the revolution, and difficult households; and at the same time supported Cao Bang province with 50 billion VND to invest in building Nung Tri Cao Primary School.
The General Secretary sent New Year greetings to all people of ethnic groups in Cao Bang province, wishing the locality to continue to develop and make worthy contributions to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
