General Secretary and President To Lam offers incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Military Region 5

During the visit and working program at Military Region 5, on the morning of April 25, Comrade To Lam - General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Chairman of the National Defense and Security Council, Commander of the People's Armed Forces and a delegation of Party, State leaders, Central Military Commission, Ministry of National Defense came to offer incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh and General Vo Nguyen Giap; and planted memorial trees at the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Branch of Military Region 5 and the Military Region 5 Museum.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, Comrade General Secretary, President To Lam and the working delegation expressed their deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh - the great leader of the Party and nation, National Liberation Hero, World Cultural Figure; remembering the great contributions of General Vo Nguyen Giap - an excellent student of President Ho Chi Minh, the first Commander-in-Chief of the Vietnam People's Army, who made particularly important contributions to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Fatherland.

The activity of planting memorial trees shows the concern of Party and State leaders for traditional education, building a cultural landscape environment in agencies and units of the armed forces; and at the same time contributes to spreading the movement of planting trees and protecting the environment according to President Ho Chi Minh's teachings.

After the incense offering ceremony, Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam presented gifts and encouraged teachers and students of Ly Cong Uan Primary School and Ly Thuong Kiet Secondary School, Da Nang city who are visiting and studying at the museum. The kind and approachable gesture of Comrade General Secretary and President To Lam shows the deep concern of Party and State leaders for the young generation - the future owners of the country.

Next, the delegation visited the exhibition area of typical models, initiatives, and products of agencies and units of the armed forces of Military Region 5, practically celebrating the event of the Military Region receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. The activity contributed to affirming the efforts and outstanding achievements of the armed forces of the Military Region in performing military and national defense tasks, building a strong all-people national defense in strategic areas.
