Solemnly organize the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election
Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien directed to ensure security and safety for the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam.
On January 4, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien - Head of the Organizing Committee to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026) attended the rehearsal of the Commemoration Ceremony.
According to the plan, the 80th Anniversary of the First General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam will be held on January 6, 2026 at Dien Hong Hall, National Assembly House.
This is a national celebration, aiming to widely promote the great historical and political significance of the first general election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam; affirming the role, position and important contributions of the National Assembly in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
This is also an event of important political significance, contributing to the entire Party, people and army reviewing the history of the formation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly since the first general election to elect the first National Assembly.
At the same time, he acknowledged the contributions, achievements and lessons learned in the past 80 years for the cause of building, developing and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam through the revolutionary stages of the nation.
In order to ensure smooth implementation of activities at the Commemoration Ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien and delegates reviewed and inspected the contents before the program took place.

The Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly acknowledged that the agencies and units have promoted a sense of responsibility, efforts, activity, proactively conducted preparations to serve the organization of the Ceremony in the best way and also drawn on-site experience and directly gave instructions to the agencies and units on the contents related to the organization, program of the Ceremony, reception, decoration, welcoming of delegates, ensuring security and safety.
Because the time for the Commemoration Ceremony is approaching, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Do Van Chien requested relevant agencies and units to continue to coordinate more closely, carefully review the preparation work for all contents, ensuring that the activities within the framework of the Commemoration Ceremony take place according to plan, solemnly and successfully.
