Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attends investment promotion conference in Thanh Hoa
Thanh Hoa - The 2026 Investment Promotion Conference was attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of central ministries and sectors.
On the morning of March 29, at FLC Sam Son Golf & Resort Conference Center (Sam Son ward), Thanh Hoa province organized the 2026 Investment Promotion Conference. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the conference.
Also attending were representatives of central leaders, ministries, branches, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and about 800 domestic and international delegates.
According to the Organizing Committee, at the conference, Thanh Hoa province awarded investment policy approval decisions to 28 projects and signed memorandums of understanding on investment cooperation with many strategic investors. These are large-scale projects, belonging to priority areas such as processing and manufacturing industry; energy; industrial park infrastructure; ecological urban areas and high-class resort tourism.
In addition, Thanh Hoa province also announced a list of priority projects to attract investment in the 2026 - 2030 period, including 173 projects in 6 main fields, with a total estimated investment capital of more than 570,000 billion VND.
In which, the processing and manufacturing industry sector has 23 secondary projects prioritized for investment in industrial parks and clusters, with a total capital of more than 37,000 billion VND. Some large projects include: Dong Vang Industrial Park (2,400 billion VND); Industrial Park No. 3 (1,664 billion VND); Petrochemical plant and new plastic material production 6,000 billion VND.
In the field of technical infrastructure and urban areas, there are 52 projects with a total investment of more than 303,000 billion VND. Notably, there are two large-scale projects: Southeast urban area of Quang Phu ward (120,000 billion VND) and Residential and resettlement area of Nguyet Vien ward (50,000 billion VND).
In the field of tourism and services, there are 7 eco-tourism and high-class resort projects, with a total capital of more than 71,000 billion VND. Among them, there are 2 large projects: Yen My Lake Eco-tourism Area (32,000 billion VND) and Specialized Park Eco-tourism Area (16,000 billion VND).
The field of energy and environment has 32 projects with a total capital of more than 140,000 billion VND. Prominent are the projects: Nghi Son LNG Thermal Power Plant (58,000 billion VND), Nghi Son LNG Storage (15,000 billion VND) and sulfuric acid production project (83,000 billion VND) associated with Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant.
In addition, the fields of science, technology, innovation; culture, sports, and healthcare are also called for investment by Thanh Hoa province.
