Train has about 20,000 more seats for New Year's Day
The 2026 New Year's holiday lasts 4 days from January 1 to January 4, the Railway industry announced a plan to increase trips and add train cars to serve the travel needs of passengers.
In addition to regular passenger trains running daily, including 4 pairs of the SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 unified passenger trains (Hanoi - Saigon); 1 pair of SE19/20 trains (Hanoi - Da Nang); 1 pair of NA1/2 trains (Hanoi - Vinh); 1 pair of SE22/21 trains (Saigon - Da Nang); 2 pairs of Central Heritage trains (Hue - Da Nang); 1 pair of SNT2/1 trains (Saigon - Nha Trang); 2 pairs of SPT2/1 trains (Saigon - Phan Thiet); 2 pairs of SP trains (Hanoi - Lao Cai); 4 pairs of red phoenix trains (Hanoi - Hai Phong), the railway industry organizes the running of additional passenger trains and connecting more cars to regular trains.
More trains will run in the section: Saigon - Nha Trang route: More SNT6 trains will run on December 31, 2025 and SNT5 trains on January 4, 2025 (2 trips); Saigon - Phan Thiet route will run more SPT4 trains on January 1, 2026 and SPT3 trains on January 4, 2026 (2 trips); Hanoi - Hai Phong route will run 8 more trains: LP9, HP3 on January 1, 2, 3, 3, 3, 2026; LP10, HP4 on January 2, 3, 4, 2026; HP3 on January 1, 2026, HP4 on January 4, 2026; Hanoi - Lao Cai route will run 4 more SP1 trains on December 31, 2, 2026 and SP2 on January 1, 2026. The total number of seats for the ships is about 13,400.
In addition, the railway industry adds carriages to daily trains, adding the maximum number of carriages to the United train, to meet the maximum travel needs of passengers.
The North-South train (SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8) added about 2,260 more seats; the SE22/21 train (Saigon - Da Nang) added 840 more seats; the SNT2/1 train (Saigon - Nha Trang) added 896 more seats; the SPT2/1 train (Saigon - Phan Thiet) added 848 more seats; the Hanoi - Vinh route added carriages to the NA1/NA2 train to provide 1,000 more seats; the Hanoi - Hai Phong route added carriages to the Hoa Phuong red train, providing about 1,000 more seats.
The total number of additional seats in the 2026 New Year's transportation period is about 20,000 seats.
