Long Thanh airport installs equipment, completes 35,000 billion VND terminal
Dong Nai - Long Thanh Airport is continuing to complete and install passenger terminal equipment, after the first flight was launched.
On January 4, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong newspaper, a representative of the Long Thanh International Airport Project Management Board (Long Thanh airport) said that to ensure progress, during the 2026 New Year (from January 1 to 4, 2026), the construction site will continue to be constructed as usual, units will focus on completing the terminal and installing equipment.

With a passenger terminal worth VND35,000 billion, the most important item at Long Thanh airport, the consortium of contractors mobilized more than 5,300 personnel and over 1,000 machines and equipment for construction, has so far basically completed the construction and is currently focusing on installing terminal equipment.
Of which, the luggage handling system (BHS) has installed 2,790/2,792 tons of steel floor materials (99%); completed the installation of about 7,500m of straight ICS and rough film.
The checked baggage screening and hand-carried baggage screening system has transported nearly 200 devices to the construction site; security screening machines and screening devices are being installed in the domestic area.
The passenger bridge system has been transported to the construction site for 26 sets, and is being installed at many gates.
The aircraft mooring system has brought 100 VDGS sets to the construction site and has been accepted for input materials; the contractor is urgently constructing support and equipment at the gates.
Up to now, the system of escalators, pedestrian elevators, and elevators have been fully brought to the construction site and are being urgently installed.

Long Thanh airport was built in Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province, mobilizing 15,000 human resources and 3,000 construction machinery and equipment day and night to ensure the first half of 2026 for commercial operation.
