Quang Ninh welcomes 380,000 visitors on New Year's Day 2026
Quang Ninh - During the 2026 New Year, from December 31, 2025 to January 1, 2026, Quang Ninh welcomed 380,000 visitors.
During the 2026 New Year holiday, cultural, sports and tourism activities in Quang Ninh province will take place vibrantly and safely.
On January 1, 2026, Quang Ninh welcomed the Celebrity Solstice superyacht carrying 3,018 international visitors and 1,222 crew members to Ha Long International Passenger Port.
At 6:00 a.m. the same day, the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee directly presented flowers to congratulate the first international visitors to Quang Ninh in the new year.
Localities in the province have also organized many cultural activities, festivals, art programs, and countdowns to welcome the new year.
According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, on December 31, 2025, the locality welcomed 220,000 visitors (14,000 international visitors), with revenue reaching 440 billion VND. On January 1, 2026, the number of visitors reached 160,000 (18,000 international visitors), with revenue reaching 432 billion VND.
In the two days, the whole province is estimated to have reached 380,000 visitors, including 32,000 international visitors, 348,000 domestic visitors; about 103,000 overnight visitors; total tourism revenue is estimated at 872 billion VND.
Some tourist destinations recorded a high number of visitors such as Ha Long Bay with 23,879 visitors, Sun World Ha Long with 7,000 visitors, Quang Ninh Museum with 2,435 visitors, Yen Tu with 4,585 visitors.
