Mr. Le Hai Binh becomes Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics
Mr. Le Hai Binh - Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - was transferred and appointed as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
On the morning of December 31, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a ceremony to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
Accordingly, the Politburo transferred, assigned and appointed Mr. Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Politburo member, Party Committee Secretary, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council presented the decision and presented flowers to congratulate Mr. Le Hai Binh.
Mr. Le Hai Binh was born on June 20, 1977. Hometown: Hai Phong City. He is an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee. He has a high level of political theory; is an Associate Professor of Political Science, PhD in International Relations.
Before being appointed as Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Mr. Le Hai Binh held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee (from June 2025), Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (from February 2025).
During his working career, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hai Binh has held many positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs such as: Working at the Asia 2 Department (now the Southeast Asia - South Asia - South Pacific Department); Deputy Director of the Vietnamese Embassy in Brunei; Specialist, Secretary of the Ministry's Leadership and then Secretary of the Foreign Minister; Secretary of the Minister and Deputy Director of the Foreign Policy Department; Deputy Director of the Foreign Policy Department and Deputy Director of the Institute of Strategic Research (Department of Foreign Affairs).
He has held the positions of Deputy Director of the Department of Press Information, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Acting Director of the Department of Press Information; Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Academy, concurrently holding the position of Director of the Strategic Research Institute, Diplomatic Academy; Director of the Department of Foreign Information and International Cooperation, Central Propaganda Department.

From November 2019 - August 2021: He is Deputy Head of the full-time Department of the Central Steering Committee for Foreign Information Work, Director of the Department of Foreign Information and International Cooperation, Central Propaganda Department.
January 30, 2021: At the 13th National Congress of the Party, Mr. Le Hai Binh was elected as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee, term 2021-2026.
From August 2021 - March 2024: He holds the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department. From March 2024 - February 2025: He is Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine.
February 25, 2025: He holds the position of Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (according to Decision No. 400/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister), then assigned to hold the position of Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
June 26, 2025: At the 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025-2030 term, Associate Professor, Dr. Le Hai Binh was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025-2030 term.
