Regional minimum wage of 34 provinces and cities from 1.7
The regional minimum wage of the 34 new provinces and cities will be applied from July 1 according to Decree No. 128-ND/CP of the Government.
The Government has just issued Decree No. 128-ND/CP on regulations on decentralization and delegation of authority in state management of the internal affairs sector.
List of commune-level areas applying the minimum wage to employees working under labor contracts from July 1, 2025 as prescribed in Appendix I attached to this Decree.
The Government clearly states that when applying the minimum monthly salary and minimum hourly salary for employees working in commune-level areas in the Appendix to this Decree, in cases where the minimum wage is lower than before July 1, 2025, employers will continue to implement the minimum wage as applied to district-level areas before July 1, 2025 until the Government has new regulations.
Currently, the Government stipulates the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts according to Decree No. 74/2024/ND-CP, applicable from July 1, 2024 to present.
Accordingly, the minimum monthly salary in region I is 4,960,000 VND/month; region II is 4,410,000 VND/month; region III is 3,860,000 VND/month, region IV is 3,450,000 VND/month.
The minimum hourly salary in region I is 23,800 VND/hour, region II is 21,200 VND/hour, region III is 18,600 VND/hour, region IV is 16,600 VND/hour.
The list of commune-level areas applying regional minimum wages will clearly identify which commune-level administrative units are newly classified as regions to serve as a basis for determining the current minimum wage.
