Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station Metro reaches new milestone, "Daring" Substation arrives at Van Mieu Station

According to information from the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB), on the afternoon of January 13, the TBM tunnel excavator No. 2 of the No. 3 Urban Railway Project (Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station section), named "Daring", drilled to S11 Station - Van Mieu, marking another important milestone in the underground construction of the project.

At the same time, the work of casting and installing the tunnel lining was carried out in parallel, ensuring timely supply for the two TBMs to operate continuously. To date, all 3,497/3,497 tunnel lining rings have been cast, fully meeting construction requirements.

Previously, the No. 1 TBM named "Thanp" completed all tunnel drilling tasks as planned and was being dismantled, preparing for the next steps in the overall project.

For TBM No. 2 "Daring", the machine has just completed digging the tunnel from S10 station to S11 station with a length of about 702m, equivalent to 468 tunnel lining rings. Previously, TBM2 had completed drilling the section from S9 station to S10 station, 1,353m long, and installed 902 tunnel lining rings.

Thus, as of January 13, 2026, TBM No. 2 has dug a total of about 2,055m of tunnel, with 1,370 tunnel lining rings that have been and are being installed.

According to MRB, the overall construction progress of Package CP03 - tunnel and underground stations has reached over 74.98%. Mr. Nguyen Ba Son - Deputy Head of the MRB Board said that the completion of TBM No. 2 digging to S11 - Van Mieu station, along with the completion of all tunnel lining work, is a clear demonstration of the close coordination between the investor and contractors in controlling progress, quality and construction safety.

"The project always strictly complies with technical standards, especially monitoring work to ensure safety for neighboring works and residential areas.

Along with the underground tunnel construction, at 4 underground stations on the route, the work of reducing barriers has been completed, contributing to reducing the impact on traffic and people's lives along the route", Mr. Nguyen Ba Son shared.
